GAME \\# 5 \nClassify It is a number classifying game to help children develop an understanding of, and familiarity with, mathematical vocabulary. It is quick and easy to play, and is very straightforward to set up. \nLevel of difficulty: ❶ \nNumber of players: 2-3 Learning: \n- Adding up the numbers on 4 dice \n- Odd and even numbers to 24 \n- Vocabulary: \no multiple of …, divisible by …, factor of …, prime number \nYou will need \n- 8 different colored counters per player \n- 4 dice \nInstructions \n- Each player takes turns to roll the dice and add them up. The player then chooses one classification hexagon on the board which matches the total they have rolled. They cover this hexagon up with a counter. \n- The cheat sheet can be used to check that the total matches the property if there are any disagreements. \n- If a person cannot find any hexagon which matches their number, they pass the dice onto the next player. \n- The game finishes when all the hexagons are covered up. \n- The winner of the game is the person who manages to cover up most hexagons. \nVariations \n• Alternative winning rule: the winner of the game is the first person to get 3 counters in a row (vertical or diagonal) . \nCLASSIFY IT!
