It also helps to develop quick recall of addition facts of 3 small numbers. \nAge range: 2nd Grade + \nNumber of players: 2-3 Learning: \n- Adding up the numbers on 3 dice \n- Odd and even numbers to 18 \n- Vocabulary: \no More/Greater than \no Smaller/Less than \no Between … and … \nYou will need \n- A set of 12 cut out counters for each player \n- 3 dice. You can always roll 1 dice three times and write down the numbers if you do not have 3 dice. \nInstructions \n- Each player takes turns to roll the dice and add them up. The player then chooses one classification hexagon on the board which matches the total they have rolled. They cover this hexagon up with a counter. \n- If a person cannot find any hexagon which matches their number, they pass the dice onto the next player. \n- The game finishes when all the hexagons are covered up. \n- The winner of the game is the person who manages to cover up most hexagons. \nExample of play \no Player 1 rolls a 4, 5 and a 2 which makes a total of 11. Player 1 chooses to cover up the ‘Greater than 10’ hexagon with a counter. \no Player 2 rolls a 4, 3 and a 6 which makes a total of 13. Player 2 chooses to cover up the ‘’Between 11 and 17’ hexagon. \nVariations \n- Use a 20-sided dice instead of three 6-sided dice \nequal to 7, 8 or 9 \nbetween 3 and 8 \nless than 8 \nodd \nsmaller than 11 \ngreater than 9 \ngreater than 10 \neven \nbetween 8 and 14 \nbetween 11 and 17 \nequal to 4, 6 or 12 \nodd or even \nodd or even \nbetween 3 and 8 \nbetween 11 and 17 \nbetween 8 and 14 \nequal to 7, 8 or 9 \nodd \nequal to 4, 6 or 12 \neven \ngreater than 10 \nsmaller than 11 \ngreater than 9 \nless than 8 \n| | | | |\n| --- | --- | --- | --- |\n| | | | |\n| | | | |\n\nODD AND EVEN NUMBERS UP TO 18 \n\n| Odd | 1 | 3 | 5 | 7 | 9 | 11 | 13 | 15 | 17 |\n| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |\n| Even | 2 | 4 | 6 | 8 | 10 | 12 | 14 | 16 | 18 |","cbCaim6O4AJGjpQS","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaim6O4AJGjpQS","pdf",476416,"English","# Learning Goals\n## Math vocabulary and addition recall\n# Setup and Requirements\n# How to Play\n## Rolling and classification hexagons\n## Passing dice and finishing\n# Winner Criteria\n# Example of Play\n# Variations\n## Alternative dice and target classifications","[{\"question\":\"What math skills does Classify It Game #2 practice?\",\"answer\":\"It builds understanding of odd/even numbers, equal to, greater than/less than, and the “between … and …” vocabulary, while also developing quick recall of addition facts using small numbers.\"},{\"question\":\"How do players take turns in the game?\",\"answer\":\"On each turn, a player rolls the dice, adds the numbers to get a total, then chooses a matching classification hexagon on the board and covers it with a counter.
