Inside, you will find a comprehensive summary of Dearborn’s departmental achievements, financial standing, and key strategic priorities. More importantly, this report demonstrates how our dedicated workforce is modernizing city services, refining operations, and accelerating placemaking efforts to ensure Dearborn remains an exceptional place to live, work, and invest.  \nGuided by the Dearborn 2035 Strategic Plan, our departments are aligned across five core pillars: Green & Healthy Dearborn, Economic Opportunity & Mobility, Civic Engagement & Democracy, Safety & Justice for All, and Innovative Government. Defined metrics anchor each pillar, ensuring transparent, trackable progress toward a more sustainable and prosperous community.  \nThrough responsible financial management, we are funding major enhancements within a structurally balanced budget. Strategic investments and key operational highlights from the past year include:  \n• Launching our inaugural Development Day, celebrating $180 million in diverse projects. Highlights include assembling 20+ acres near Michigan Ave and I-94, adding 300 housing units near Carhartt’s headquarters and the Lonyo neighborhood, eliminating blighted properties like Village Plaza, and beginning reconstruction on the former Hyatt convention center.  \n• Introducing “pre-planning” sessions to accelerate site plan approvals and safety reviews, alongside our new 24/7 digital platform, BS&A, which centralizes business licensing, permit requests, and municipal payments.  \n• Re-engineering how residents interact with City Hall by introducing 24-hour customer service platforms and launching a centralized, mobile-friendly digital hub. Through TextMyGov and our expanded Resident Services Division, residents can now report public works issues, pay bills, track requests, and access vital services anytime, from anywhere.  \n• Initiating large-scale flood mitigation projects, dedicating stormwater catch basin crews, expanding air quality monitoring networks, and redesigned key intersections like Schaefer and Prospect—alongside planned improvements to redesign Warren Avenue.  \n• Expanding neighborhood resources, featuring renovated recreational centers and new, abilityaccessible playscapes placed within a five-minute reach of every Dearborn household.  \n• Finalizing plans for an unprecedented multi-million-dollar road project to repair more than 35 miles of city roadways—a scale matched by few municipalities in Michigan.  \nI am deeply grateful to our City teams for their dedication and to our residents and business leaders for their partnership.
