The people dance and sing to celebrate Christmas.  \n6  \nMariant Church is in the Highlands.  \nAt Christmas time the children gather dried pit-pit.  \nThey tie the bundles of pit-pit with vines.  \nThey use them as torches.  \n7  \nThe church is on top of a hill. On the night before Christmas, villagers walk on bush tracks to the church.  \nThey carry pit-pit torches.  \n8  \nPeople are excited.  \nThey talk and laugh. The children go to sleep in small huts.  \nThen the bell rings and it is time for midnight mass.  \n9  \nIt is cold outside but inside the church it is warm.  \nThe church is full of people.
