I'm preparing to move from my home Territory. This is where I was born and lived the majority of my life. I know the forest, the rivers, the sky. I'm familiar with the medicines. This is where my healing journey began. \nThis is where I find the perseverance of my ancestors and all my relations. The land finds my soul here. But I am being called to the sundance tree. My sundance and ceremonial family where my grandchildren live. \nI'm the process of uniting all my family in the same time zone. Change is not always easy but necessary. I see change all around me; The earth changes, the water changes. But I know that with change comes with rebirth. I hold my ancestors within me where I go. The land promises new adventures new challenges and I accept that with open arms, and a beautiful place. \nWinds of Change by Betty Albert \n2 Chiefs of Ontario — Annual Report 2022-23 \nTable of Contents \nArtist’s Statement ............................................................................................................................................ 2 \nOntario Regional Chief Report ................................................................................................................................. 4 \nChief Operating Officer ........................................................................................................................................ 8 \nHistory .................................................................................................................................................... 10 \nLeadership Council .......................................................................................................................................... 12 \nMembers of the Leadership Council ..................................................................................................................... 14 \nBoard of Directors Report ................................................................................................................................... 15 \nFinancial Report ............................................................................................................................................ 16 \nHuman Resources Report ................................................................................................................................... 17 \nEducation Sector ............................................................................................................................................ 18 \nEnvironment Sector ......................................................................................................................................... 24 \nHealth Sector ............................................................................................................................................... 30 \nYouth Sector ................................................................................................................................................ 38 \nSocial Services Sector ........................................................................................................................................ 46 \nWomen’s Initiatives .......................................................................................................................................... 57 \nEconomic Development ..................................................................................................................................... 61 \nPolicy and Communications Sector ............................................................................................................................ 64 \nMap of First Nations in Ontario .....................................................","cbCaih4vJxhHF7e4","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaih4vJxhHF7e4","pdf",6678727,72,"English","# Artist’s Statement\n# Ontario Regional Chief Report\n# Chief Operating Officer\n# History\n# Leadership Council\n## Members of the Leadership Council\n# Board of Directors Report\n# Financial Report\n# Human Resources Report\n# Education Sector\n# Environment Sector\n# Health Sector\n# Youth Sector\n# Social Services Sector\n# Women’s Initiatives\n# Economic Development\n# Policy and Communications Sector\n# Map of First Nations in Ontario\n# Staff of the Chiefs of Ontario","[{\"question\":\"What is the central theme of the Chiefs of Ontario annual report 2022–2023?\",\"answer\":\"The report is organized around “Moving Forward: Strengthening Relationships for Future Generations.” It connects organizational work with long-term community and future-focused commitments.\"},{\"question\":\"What co-development efforts are described in the Ontario Regional Chief report?\",\"answer\":\"The report references co-development related to water legislation and notes concerns about the current process.
