The panel of examiners consisted of:  \n1. Exam Conveners  \n• Dr Tan Ter Chyan (Chapter member, College of Surgeons Singapore)  \n2. Chief Examiner – A/Prof Agnes Tan (Chapter of Hand Surgeons)  \n3. External Examiner – Prof D. A. McGrouther (United Kingdom)  \n4. Examiners  \n• Prof Robert Pho  \n• A/Prof Lim Beng Hai (Immediate Past Chairman, Chapter of Hand Surgeons)  \n• Dr Winston Chew  \n• Dr Yong Fok Chuan (Chapter of Hand Surgeons)  \n5. Observer – Dr Andrew Yam (Chapter member, College of Surgeons Singapore)  \nThe clinical examination was facilitated by Dr Sreedhavan, Dr Chee Kin Ghee, Dr Foo Tun Lin and Dr Chong Chew Wei who assisted in the exam organisation. The Chapter also organised the MCQ component.  \nTwo candidates are Dr Tan Siau Woon Jacqueline and Dr Yeo Chong Jin (all from Singapore) . Dr Tan Siau Woon Jacqueline had scored a pass in this diet of the exit examination.  \nSTAFF REGISTRAR SCHEME (SRS)  \nWith reference to the Ministry of Health’s (MOH’s) paper in early 2007 introducing the initiative of conducting a structured diploma programme with on-the-job training as previously proposed by the AMS for foreign doctors whose specialist degrees are not recognised by the Singapore Accreditation Board and whose medical schools are not recognised by the Singapore Medical Council, the Chapter had rolled out its SRS Programme in July 2008. This is a three-year programme and the first intake on November 2011 currently has one (1) trainee, Dr Ellen Lee Yutan and the supervisor for this trainee is A/Prof Aymeric Lim.  \nUpon completion of the SRS Programme, the candidate will ultimately be awarded a Diploma in Hand Surgery conferred jointly by the AMS and the College of Surgeons, Singapore (CSS) .  \nCOMBINED SINGAPORE SOCIETY FOR HAND SURGERY (SSHS) AND THE 2ND CHAPTER OF HAND SURGEONS DINNER LECTURE  \nThe first Combined Dinner Lecture by the Chapter of Hand Surgeons and the Singapore Society for Hand Surgery (SSHS) was held on Monday, 10 January 2011 at the Peach Garden @33 . The Chapter was pleased to have invited Dr Marc Garcia-Elias from Institute Kaplan, Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery, Barcelona, Spain to speak on Evolution of Wrist Instability Surgery: The Long and Winding Road.  \nThe Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Chapter of Hand Surgeons and SSHS was signed at this event to signify a formal and closer collaboration between the two bodies.  \n1ST HAND & WRIST ARTHROPLASTY COURSE & CADAVERIC WORKSHOP  \nThe Chapter of Hand Surgeons together with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Hand & Micro Surgery Section, Tan Tock Seng Hospital organised the 1st Hand & Wrist Arthroplasty Course & Cadaveric Workshop from 22-23 September 2011 at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
