It presents the wiring diagram reference (1.1 Wiring Diagram) and explains battery installation and maintenance, including charging behavior in freezing temperatures and terminal corrosion prevention. It further details the starting system operation via key switch positions and safety conditions, then covers the charging system’s role supplying power and recharging the battery while the engine runs. Lighting system components and switch functions are also outlined.",{"@graph":69,"@context":122},[70,84,105],{"@type":71,"itemListElement":72},"BreadcrumbList",[73,77,79,82],{"item":74,"name":75,"@type":76,"position":8},"https://docshare.wps.com","Home","ListItem",{"item":78,"name":9,"@type":76,"position":14},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/",{"item":80,"name":30,"@type":76,"position":81},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/technology/",3,{"item":83,"name":65,"@type":76,"position":19},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/chapter-10-electric-system-11-wiring-diagram/665305/",{"url":83,"name":65,"@type":85,"image":86,"author":91,"headline":65,"publisher":94,"fileFormat":97,"inLanguage":63,"description":67,"dateModified":98,"datePublished":99,"encodingFormat":97,"isAccessibleForFree":100,"interactionStatistic":101},"DigitalDocument",{"url":87,"@type":88,"width":89,"height":90},"https://docshare.wps.com/thumbnails/chapter-10-electric-system-11-wiring-diagram/665305.png","ImageObject",300,407,{"name":92,"@type":93},"Đào","Person",{"url":74,"name":95,"@type":96},"DocShare","Organization","application/pdf","2026-10-30","2026-10-29",true,{"@type":102,"interactionType":103,"userInteractionCount":81},"InteractionCounter",{"@type":104},"ViewAction",{"@type":106,"mainEntity":107},"FAQPage",[108,114,118],{"name":109,"@type":110,"acceptedAnswer":111},"Where is the battery located and what condition must its terminals be kept in?","Question",{"text":112,"@type":113},"The battery is located under the hood in front of the radiator. The battery is located under the hood in front of the radiator. The battery connections must be tight and free of corrosion. If necessary, wash the battery’s outside surface and terminals with a solution of baking soda and water, making sure the solution does not get inside the battery. After cleaning, wash the battery with clean water, then apply a small amount of petroleum jelly to the terminals to prevent corrosion. A good battery charge must be maintained in freezing temperatures. If the battery is allowed to become discharged or run down, the electrolyte will become weak and possibly freeze. This can result in damage to the case . If the water must be added, use distilled water. \nAdd the water just before using the tractor. This ensures that the water will mix with the electrolyte during the charging process, preventing the water from freezing. \nS196-WOO Jul. 2003 10-5 \n1. 3 STARTING SYSTEM \n196WA01A \nWhen the main key switch is turned to the PREHEAT position, the terminal AM is connected to the terminal ON and GL. The glow plugs become red-hot, and the preheat indicator lamp also lights on while preheating. \nWhen the main switch is turned to the START position with the safety switch on, the terminal AM is connected to the terminal ON and ST. \nConsequently battery current flows to the starter motor and start the engine. \nThe main key switch automatically returns to the ON position, the terminal AM is connected only to the terminal ACC and ON, thereby causing the starting circuit to be opened, stopping the starter motor. \nWhen the main key switch turned from the ON position to the OFF position, the engine stop solenoid moves the fuel injection pump control rack to the “NO FUEL” \nposition and stop the engine. \n10-6 S196-WOO Jul. 2003 \n1.4 CHARGING SYSTEM \n196WA02A \nThe charging system supplies electric power to various electrical devices and also charges the battery while the engine runs . \nS196-WOO Jul. 2003 10-7 \n1. 5 LIGHTING SYSTEM \nThe lighting system consists of combination switch, hazard warning switch, flasher unit, stop lamp relay, stop switch, head lights, turn signal lamps, tail lamps and stop lamps. \nA. COMBINATION SWITCH \nThe light switch is located on the left-hand side of the dash. \nThe three position of the light switch are; OFF \nTaillight/Headlight (low-beam) Headlights (high beam) \nWhen the switch is in the “Headlights (high beam)”position, the blue indicator will light. \n(1) Head Light Switch \n(2) Turn Signal Light Switch \n10-8 S196-WOO Jul. 2003 \nB. HAZARD WARNING SWITCH \nThe hazard light switch is a push-pull type switch located on the left-hand side of the dash below of the main light switch. The two positions of the hazard light switch are; \nOFF(Push) \nON (Pull) \nWhen the hazard light switch is in the “ON” position, the turn signal symbol located in combination meter will illuminate green and flash. \nImportant ; The hazard lights can be activated with the key switch in the “OFF” position. \nC. FLASHER UNIT \nThe flasher unit controls the flashing of the hazard lights. This flasher unit is located under the combination meter. \nControl the blinking time of the hazard flasher lamp. \nD. STOP AND TAIL LIGHTING COMPONENTS \na . Stop Relay \nRelays monitor the current in a circuit. If current is present, the relay activates a single pole, double throw switch, causing it to flip over to its other position. Therelays are located under the combination meter. \n(A) OFF (Push) (B) ON (Pull) \n\n| | | | | | | | | | | |\n| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |\n| | | \u003Cbr>196WA06A | | | | | | | | |\n| | | | | | | | | | | |\n\n\n|","cbCaiajYljaB4dTb","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiajYljaB4dTb","pdf",1542595,34,"English","# ELECTRIC SYSTEM\n## 1.
