Factors bearing directly on productivity include such things as weight to horsepower ratio, capacity, type of transmission, speeds and operating costs. The Performance Handbook considers these factors in detail. There are other less direct machine performance factors for which no tables, charts or graphs are possible. Serviceability, parts availability and operator convenience are examples. In comparing machine performance, all factors should be considered. This Handbook is intended as an aid which, when coupled with experience and a good knowledge of local conditions, can assist in estimating true machine performance. \nMany sections of the Handbook include tables or curves showing cycle times or hourly production figures for Cat® machines under certain conditions. Statements of conditions always accompany or precede the curves or tables. Before using any performance information in this Handbook, a complete understanding of the qualifying conditions is essential. The data is based on field testing, computer analysis, laboratory research and experience; and every effort has been made to assure their correctness. \nHowever, all such data is based upon 100% efficiency in operation—a status which cannot be achieved continuously even under ideal conditions. Thus, in using such performance and production data, it is necessary to correct the results indicated in the handbook tables by appropriate factors. This allows for the anticipated actual job efficiency, operator efficiency, mate","cbCaisvFBHStb2cq","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaisvFBHStb2cq","pdf",48844534,2440,"English","# Preface\n## Environment and Sustainability\n## Operator and Machine Protection\n## Operator Training\n## Machine Modifications\n## Equipment Options\n## Machine Protection\n## Fire Prevention\n## Safety Regulations\n## Sound Suppression\n## Replacement Parts Warning\n## Nomenclature\n# Articulated Trucks\n# Backhoe Loaders\n# Drills\n# Engines\n# Forest Products\n# Highwall Mining System\n# Hydraulic Excavators\n## Front Shovels\n## Hydraulic Excavators\n# Hydromechanical Attachments\n# Material Handlers\n# Mining & Off-Highway Trucks\n# Motor Graders\n# On-Highway Trucks\n# Paving Products\n# Pipelaysers\n# Skid Steer Loaders - Multi Terrain Loaders - Compact Track Loaders\n# Surface Mining Extraction\n## Draglines\n## Electric Rope Shovels\n## Hydraulic Mining Shovels\n# Telescopic Handlers\n# Track Loaders\n# Track-Type Tractors\n# Underground Mining Equipment\n## Hard Rock\n## Longwall\n## Room & Pillar\n# Waste Handling\n# Wheel Dozers - Soil Compactors\n# Wheel Loaders - Integrated Toolcarriers\n# Wheel Tractor-Scrapers\n# Estimating Owning & Operating Costs\n# Former Models\n# Land Clearing\n# Mining and Earthmoving\n# Stockpile Coal Handling\n# Tables\n# Technology Products\n# Tires\n# Environment and Sustainability","[{\"question\":\"What does the handbook say about how machine performance should be measured?\",\"answer\":\"It states that machine performance must ultimately be measured in unit cost of material moved, which includes both production and costs.\"},{\"question\":\"Why are qualifying conditions important when using the handbook’s tables and curves?\",\"answer\":\"Performance tables and curves are presented only under stated conditions, so a complete understanding of those qualifying conditions is essential before using the information.\"},{\"question\":\"How should results from handbook performance data be adjusted for real jobs?\",\"answer\":\"The handbook notes that data assumes 100% operational efficiency, so users must correct results using appropriate factors to reflect actual job efficiency, operator efficiency, material characteristics, haul road conditions, altitude, and other influences.\"}]","Caterpillar Performance Handbook - 47 | PDF",6149]
