This includes information about carrying forward marks for coursework and speaking tests. \n• Carrying forward Cambridge International AS Level to A Level. This is known as the‘staged route’ to Cambridge International A Level. Here we explain our approach to carrying forward marks and grades for our different assessment approaches (exams, school-assessed grades, portfolios of evidence). \nCarrying forward non-exam assessments \n􀀸 Non-exam assessments include coursework and speaking tests. When using the portfolio of evidence route to grades, it is not possible to carry forward any marks from non-exam assessments which we have previously awarded (e.g. coursework marks we awarded in the June 2021 series) . \n􀀹 You can submit candidates' work for us to mark as part of their portfolio of evidence if we have not previously marked or moderated it and it has not already been used as evidence to support a school-assessed grade. \nYou must keep any work prepared fora previous series secure and the candidate must not have any opportunity to change it. It must also meet the current syllabus requirements. \nYou must make sure you follow the guidance for non-exam assessments (see section 3.4 of the Cambridge Handbook). \nPlease note it is not possible to carry forward any portfolio of evidence components into a future series apart from an AS Level portfolio of evidence as part of astaged route to Cambridge International A Level. This means that it is not possible to carry forward the portfolio of evidence speaking endorsement for Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language (0510/60 or 0993/60) to a future series. \nCarrying forward Cambridge International AS Level to A Level \nMany of you have questions about carrying forward from Cambridge International AS Level to A Level, and we appreciate the options available can be complex. The information in the sections below will help you to understand the carry-forward choices available for portfolios of evidence. You can find information about: \n• How staged assessment works for portfolios of evidence \n• What entry details you need to provide \n• Content coverage requirements \n• Percentage Uniform Marks \nHow staged assessment works for portfolios of evidence \nOverview \nCandidates who are entered for a staged assessment option in the exam route will be switched to the staged assessment option for portfolios of evidence. The portfolio of evidence staged assessment option (entry option P3) consists of two components for all subjects 1 : \n• Component 80 – AS Level credit carried forward \n• Component 60 – A2 Level portfolio of evidence. \nWe will select the candidate’s best available valid AS Level credit for component 80 and carry this forward to combine with the A2 evidence you submit in the current series. By AS Level credit we mean marks achieved in Cambridge International AS Level exams or an AS Level schoolassessed grade. This is different from the exam route where there are separate options for‘March carry-forward’, ‘June carry-forward’ and ‘November carry-forward’. \nFor example, in the exam route, a candidate entered fora ‘June carry-forward’ option can only carry forward their AS Level credit from the previous June series. In the portfolio of evidence, if the candidate also has AS Level credit from the previous November series, we will carry forward the better of the two AS Level credits. We explain how we will do this below in the section ‘How will you determine the best available AS Level credit to carry forward?’. \nIt is vital that you provide candidates’ previous entry details correctly when you make the entries, to make sure each candidate’s best AS Level credit is identified and carried forward. \nHow will you ","cbCaih7BrjMIEmuW","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaih7BrjMIEmuW","pdf",250683,"English","# Carrying forward non-exam assessments\n## Carrying forward Cambridge International AS Level to A Level\n## How staged assessment works for portfolios of evidence\n### Overview\n### How will you determine the best available AS Level credit to carry forward?","[{\"question\":\"Can marks from non-exam assessments be carried forward within the portfolio of evidence route?\",\"answer\":\"No. When using the portfolio of evidence route to grades, it is not possible to carry forward any marks from non-exam assessments previously awarded, such as coursework marks from earlier series.\"},{\"question\":\"What options exist for carrying forward Cambridge International AS Level to A Level?\",\"answer\":\"The document explains staged assessment for portfolios of evidence, where candidates combine carried-forward AS Level credit with A2 portfolio of evidence submitted in the current series.\"},{\"question\":\"How does Cambridge determine the best available AS Level credit to carry forward?\",\"answer\":\"Cambridge identifies eligible previous AS Level marks and/or grades from all eligible series using the previous centre number and candidate number provided at exam entry.
