It explains that vision must be written clearly so called members can run with it, emphasizing love for God as the foundation for all priorities and ministries. The material also defines mission as “Tell Somebody,” based on the Great Commandment and Great Commission, and connects core identity to scriptural instruction, love, and active outreach.",{"@graph":14,"@context":73},[15,34,56],{"@type":16,"itemListElement":17},"BreadcrumbList",[18,23,27,31],{"item":19,"name":20,"@type":21,"position":22},"https://docshare.wps.com","Home","ListItem",1,{"item":24,"name":25,"@type":21,"position":26},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/","Document",2,{"item":28,"name":29,"@type":21,"position":30},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/religion-spirituality/","Religion is no vision, the people perish.” \nProverbs 29:18(KJV) \nA powerful definition of the word“vision\"is“animagination of what the world can be.\"God hasgiven vision to His people through His Word ofwhat the world can be.At Capstone,we are boldenough to believe in that vision;and not justbelieve, but throw ourselves into the realizationof that vision. \nThe purpose of this part of our time together isto relay the specific vision God has given to usas a church body.We realize we are only a partof God's vision. But,we also know that our partis very important. It needs to be relayed \naccurately so that is can be acted upon as Godintended. \n\"Write the vision, and make it plain upon tablets, thathe may run who reads it” \nHabakkuk 2:2(NKJV) \nThat's what this is about;writing the visiondown so that those who feel called to joinCapstone can run with it. \n3 \n# Capstone's Vision:\n\n\"Love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mindand strength.\" \nMatthew 22:37-38 \nAs the body of Christ, our first priority is to lovethe Lord and see that love manifest in \neverything we do.Often in the church, too muchemphasis is placed upon the individual and whatwe are going to get out of a relationship withGod.We have learned that when we focus uponloving God,a byproduct of that love is that weare set free from what destroys us.Therefore wemake it our aim to keep as our primary goal tolove the Lord and have everything we do as achurch based in and conceived out of that love. When our “vision”is right God will handle ourpersonal issues. \nMuch is done in this world apart from the \nmotivation of love for God.We don't want ourgood works to be found to be without propermotivation on the day of the Lord. Therefore weset as our goal to develop and perform allministry out of a foundation of love for God. \n4 \nBy the grace God has given me,I laid a foundation asan expert builder, and someone else is building on it.But each one should be careful how he builds. For noone can lay any foundation other than the one alreadylaid, which is Jesus Christ. If any man builds on thisfoundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hayor straw, his work will be shown for what it is,becausethe Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work.Ifwhat he has built survives,he will receive his reward.Ifit is burned up,he will suffer loss;he himself will besaved, but only as one escaping through the flames. \n## 1 Corinthians 3:10-15(NIV)\n\nIf I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, buthave not love,I am only a resounding gong or a \nclanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and canfathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have afaith that can move mountains, but have not love,I amnothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrendermy body to the flames, but have not love,I gainnothing. \n1 Corinthians 13:1-3 (NIV) \n5 \nC \nCapstone's Mission-TellSomebody. \nMatthew 22:37-38 is often called the GreatCommandment.Verse 39 of that same chapteris said to be “like”the Great Commandment. \nThat means that it is of the same motivation, cutfrom the same cloth. \nAnd the second is like it:\"Love your neighbor asyourself.\" \nMatthew 22:39 (NIV) \nWe know at Capstone that we cannot separateove for God and love for our fellow man. \nAnd he has given us this command:Whoever lovesGod must also love his brother. \n1 John 4:21 (NIV) \nYou have heard that it was said,\"Love your neighborand hate your enemy.\"But I tell you:Love yourenemies and pray for those who persecute you, thatyou may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causeshis sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rainon the righteous and the unrighteous. \nMatthew 5:43-45(NIV) \n6
