Brown.  \nAs in previous years, all new responders received a copy of Rosemary Low’s Parrot Breeding Register; these were kindly donated by Rosemary, the League stated.  \nThe overall winner of the Ruth Sawyer (nee Ezra) award for the 2025 breeding scheme “Breeder of the Year” is Nick Ash who bred 152 birds from 16 species!  \nIn addition, the 2025 results saw the return for a species that is potentially a first breeding by an FBL member – the Asian red-eyed starling (Aplonis panayensis), also known as the Asian glossy starling. However, this is the first time any resident pelicans have successfully hatched chicks.  \nThis urban park, located in the city of Westminster, is one of London’s eight Royal Parks cared for by the Royal Park’s charity.  \nHatching at the end of May, the chicks – which are yet to be named – are thriving under the watchful eyes of their parents.
