This means a regular sleep routine – eg. Sleep at least eight hours per night, keep a regular bedtime and switch off the mobile phone when you go to bed. Eating well – you need to ‘feed your brain’ with foods which are high in protein, low in carbohydrate and include plenty of fruit and vegetables. Three meals a day, plus snacks (not junk food!) and drink plenty of water –at least two litres a day (cut out the caffeinated drinks) . \n§ Make time to relax – re-energise yourself through taking some ‘down-time’ you will then come back more invigorated and with a clear head. \n§ Maintain a positive attitude – keep focused and motivated, maybe use some positive selftalk. \n§ Set yourself realistic and achievable goals for study (ie. SMART) . Due to the date of the examination being close – your goals are now short-term. \n§ Plan ahead-create an examination revision schedule and routine to help minimise stress – prioritise your most important tasks and commitments \n§ Create a comfortable work space – ergonomically set up with good lighting and ventilation \n§ Establish a support network – study group, advise family and friends \n• Familiarise yourself with detailed information about the examination. Eg. Format, length, mark allocation, contribution to study score \nExamination revision strategies \n1. Check your notes for Unit 3 and Unit 4 . Make sure they are adequate for every dot point in the key knowledge for each Area of Study. (Refer to Appendix 2) \n2. Read your notes, highlight main points then make summaries using your own words. \n3. Develop a glossary of key words and terminology you need to know. \n4. Construct concept maps of main ideas, facts, theories – for each Area of Study \n5. Use textbook (end of chapter questions and examination revision questions) to practise and apply your learning. \n6. Complete as many practice examinations as possible, especially past VCAA examinations – check assessors comments (VCAA)– follow up on any gaps in your knowledge. \n7. Make sure you understand what directive verbs (task words) mean in questions eg. Identify, describe, explain, discuss, analyse, evaluate. \nG. Somers \n2016 VCE Business Management Unit 3 &4 exam revision \n8. Use memory strategies, such as repetition and acronyms to help you recall information and \nprocesses. \n9. Explain your knowledge to someone outside of Business Management to see if they can understand your explanations. \n10. Clarify any questions you have with your teacher. \n11. Revise with your study buddy or group – debate what you know to consolidate your understanding and brainstorm any problem areas. \nThe day before the Business Management examination (Sunday 30th October) \nCramming at the last minute is not effective. You will not have a thorough understanding of the information or be able to apply it. \nWhat can you do the night before the examination? \nØ Read over your summary notes \nØ Talk about what you know \nØ Prepare the equipment you will need – pen, pencil, rubber, highlighter \nØ Relax – watch a favourite TV program (not watch TV all night or until late!) Turn off your mobile phone and don’t get on to Facebook or any other social media sites. \nØ Go to bed at your regular time (not late!) \nØ Set the alarm for the following morning \nThe day has arrived-Business Management examination – Monday 31st \nOctober (3.00 pm reading time, 3.15 pm writing – 5.15 pm finish) \n• Have a healthy snack eg. banana to help overcome the late afternoon drop in energy levels. \n• Make sure you arrive at the examination centre (school) in plenty of time. \n• Enter the room, find you","cbCaiiiIQ1XASsMF","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiiiIQ1XASsMF","pdf",228695,18,"English","# Appendix 1 Strategies to help you prepare for the examination\n## Examination revision strategies\n## The day before the Business Management examination\n## The day has arrived - Business Management examination","[{\"question\":\"How should students prepare in the weeks leading up to the Business Management exam?\",\"answer\":\"Use a revision schedule, check notes for Unit 3 and Unit 4, and ensure they cover each key knowledge dot point.
