It also covers cap and gown distribution, dress expectations, conduct guidelines, parking directions, accessible seating notes, and information on the all-night graduation party.","April 25, 2023  \nDear Parents and Guardians ofthe Senior Class of 2023:  \nI would like to extend to you congratulations and sincere thanks for all that you have done to help your student reach their graduation. The purpose of this letter is to inform you of the activities and procedures of graduation.  \nThe last day of regularly scheduled classes for all students is Thursday, June 8. A mandatory rehearsal for all graduating seniors will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 9 . All seniors will meet in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) . Rehearsal will take approximately ninety minutes. Graduates must be at rehearsal if they wish to be in the ceremony; any exceptions need to be approved by our graduation administrator, Mr. Ed Cox.  \nThe graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, June 9 at 7:00 p.m. on Bison Field West. Graduates are expected to arrive by 6 p.m. Admittance to the graduation ceremony will be by ticket only. This year we will be able to issue six (6) tickets per graduate. Tickets  \nwill be issued to graduating seniors with their caps and gowns. In the event ofinclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the BHS main gym. In this case, the number of tickets per graduate will be reduced to four (4) to accommodate the smaller capacity. Tickets for indoor and outdoor venues will be marked accordingly.  \nDistribution of caps and gowns will be Tuesday, May 2nd during all lunch periods. If a student is not in the building during this time, please come to the front office to pick them up between 8am and 3pm on Monday-Friday, after May 2nd. Please safeguard your tickets. Replacement tickets will not be issued due to capacity restrictions. Please read the reverse side of this letter for additional ticket information. We will provide a recorded telecast of the ceremony. Details of how to view this telecast will be shared later. Important items to note:  \n● Any guests requiring handicapped accessible seating, please check with an usher to find the appropriate location.  \n● If your student is entering any branch of the military, we will be noting this in our graduation program. Parking will be limited due to the number of guests-please limit to 2 vehicles per family. Parking is not allowed on the county road on the east side of the building (Bison Blvd) .  \n● Graduates are encouraged to be dropped off or carpool and should park near and enter through door number 8 at the far Westend of the student lot.  \nGraduates are expected to dress appropriately for the graduation ceremony. Shorts, T-shirts, flip flops, sunglasses, and informal attire are inappropriate for this ceremony. Accommodations for weather will be communicated during rehearsal. Decorated caps and gowns will NOT be allowed. Please do your part to help monitor these expectations. To maintain the dignity of the ceremony, family and friends are to refrain from shouting when their graduate is presented so that the next student's family can hear the announcement of their graduate’s name.  \nThe All-Night Graduation Party will be held at the high school and will begin shortly after the graduation ceremony. This party is planned and sponsored by BHS parents/guardians and has always been a very safe and fun experience.
