COM \nBRIDGMAN \nPUBLIC SCHOOLS \nSuperintendent News \nfrom Superintendent Shane Peters \nDear Bridgman Families and Residents, \nAs 2025 has come to a close, \ninvesting in programs, resources, and facilities that support student success. \nI hope everyone enjoyed a safe, joyful, and restful holiday season! At Bridgman Public Schools, we are proud to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of our students, staff, and community as we reach the midpoint of the 2025-2026 school year. \nAcademic Highlights \nOur students continue to excel academically, and Bridgman Public Schools remains one of the highestperforming districts in Berrien County. Our students consistently demonstrate strong learning outcomes that exceed both county and state averages in core subjects. \nThese accomplishments are a testament to the dedication and expertise of our staff, the hard work of our students, and the continued support of families and our community. Together, we are ensuring that every student receives a high-quality education and is prepared for future success. \nFinancial Strength & Accountability \nBridgman Public Schools remains financially healthy. The 2025 audit by Kruggel and Lawton provided a clean opinion, and the District added $1,636,623 to the General Fund balance, now totaling $6,841,247—43.10% of annual expenditures. This stability allows us to continue \nAquatic Center Renovation \nExciting news for our community: the Bridgman Aquatic Center will undergo a major renovation to modernize key systems, improve energy efficiency, and enhance the experience for everyone. The project is scheduled to take place from April through August 2026 and is fully funded by the District. We look forward to welcoming swimmers back to an upgraded facility that will serve students and the community for years to come. \nHonoring Our School Board \nJanuary is School Board Recognition Month. We thank Eric Ramso, Wayne Hall, Tishia Roberts, Brad Owen, JoAnn DeMeulenaere, Nancy Hawley, and Tommy LaVanway for their time, dedication, and leadership. Their commitment ensures strong local governance and helps prepare our students to become tomorrow’s leaders. \nWinter Weather Reminders \nAs we enter the winter season, school delays and closures may occur. If there is a two-hour delay, start times will be: \n• Bridgman Elementary School: 9:45 a.m. \n• F.C.
