Bridge Academy, I want to take a moment to recognise how proud weare of our students and the commitment they show to their learning every day. \nI would like to start by commending our Year 11 and Year 13 students, who have recently completed their Pre Public Examinations. These assessments are an important milestone, and the focus, resilience and hard work they have demonstrated have been exemplary. They have approached this period with maturity and determination and have set themselves up strongly for the final months ahead. \nOur Year 10 students have also represented the Academy exceptionally well during their recent work experience placements. The feedback from employers has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting students’professionalism, confidence and willingness to learn. Alongside this, they have developed valuable skills, which will support them both in their studies and in the future. \nThis term has also seen another highly successful Cultural Capital Day, providing students with a wide range of enriching experiences beyond the classroom, and helping them to broaden their horizons, discover new interests and deepen their understanding of the world around them. \nThere is, as always, a huge amount happening across the Academy. This magazine captures just a snapshot of the many achievements, opportunities and successes from the term, and I hope you enjoy reading about them. \nFinally, I would like to thank our staff, students and families for their continued support. I wish you all a restful and enjoyable Easter break. \nChris Brown \nPrincipal \n3 \nLETTER FROM SECRETARY OF STATE FOR EDUCATION \nWe are proud to have received congratulations from the Secretary of State for Education, Bridget Phillipson, recognising the excellent outcomes achieved by our disadvantaged pupils* at The Bridge Academy at the end of the 2024/25 academic year. \nBridget Phillipson \nSecretary of State for Education \n“Congratulations to you and your team on the excellent outcomes the disadvantaged pupils at The Bridge Academy achieved at the end of the 2024/25 academic year.
