Thank you to Reece Fagan (12B) who delivered the Acknowledgement of Country and Najila Ghafari (12E) and Noh Hagos (12Y) who proudly addressed the college community on behalf of the Year 12 cohort. They thanked their teachers and Coordinators for their ongoing support over the years and provided great advice to younger students about working hard, making the most of opportunities provided by the school and most importantly, supporting one another through their high school journey. Their speech is included in this newsletter for all to enjoy. \nThe VCE VCAA Exams commenced on Wednesday 26th October with the English and English as An Additional Language exams and will continue for 3 weeks. \nThank you Year 12s for all you have contributed to the College over the past six years. Good luck with therest of your exams and we look forward to celebrating your individual and collective achievements, with your families, friends and teachers at the upcoming Graduation evening. \nI would also like to thank all staff who have assisted the Year 12 cohort in completing their secondary education. \nYear 8-11 Exams \nAll students in Years 8 - 11 will be completing exams in the coming weeks. It is critical that all students begin their revision early, seeking support and assistance from their teachers. Success will require students to set high expectations for their performance, to work hard and to take pride in their work. We encourage all students to review carefully their teachers’ feedback and areas for improvement as they prepare for their end of semester exams. \nBraybrook College abuzz! \nOnce again this term, our wonderful staff have presented numerous rich opportunities for our students to participate in through our academic and co-curricular programs. Some examples of these activities/ events which were highly successful and of which we are very proud, include: the wonderful ART exhibition showcasing the many talents of our students and staff; the Theatre Studies performances and the fun-filled Humanities week with something for everyone. Braybrook College made a historic run through the season, going undefeated with both D Grade and C Grade teams and eliminating numerous teams through the playoffs and final series. As the underdogs, Braybrook College earned the unique achievement of being the only school with more than one team remaining going into the Semi Finals. \nAfter a chaotic rain delay requiring a postponement, the Year 10 C Grade team unfortunately fell short of the final round, losing the Semi Final to Shelford Girls Grammar. While there was some disappointment in our performance on the night, the team is immensely proud of reaching the final four against some of the toughest opposition in the state. \nLearning from their \nshortcomings, the Year 9 D Grade team overcame their opponents, Mount Scopus Memorial College","cbCaieAJNKxXYjRy","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaieAJNKxXYjRy","pdf",7526275,"English","# Principal’s Message\n## Last Assembly for Year 12 (Class of 2022)\n## Year 8–11 Exams\n# Braybrook College Highlights\n## Christmas Tree & Cakes Sales\n## Debating Grand Finalists\n## Football Victoria Coach of the Year","[{\"question\":\"What does the principal thank the Year 12 cohort for and what advice is given for exams?\",\"answer\":\"The principal thanks Year 12s for their contributions over the past six years, wishes them good luck for their exams, and encourages students to work hard, set high expectations, and review teacher feedback and improvement areas.\"},{\"question\":\"When do the VCE VCAA exams begin and for how long?\",\"answer\":\"The VCE VCAA exams commence on Wednesday 26th October for the English and English as an Additional Language exams and continue for three weeks.\"},{\"question\":\"What school activities and events are highlighted in the newsletter?\",\"answer\":\"The newsletter highlights student and staff opportunities, including an art exhibition, Theatre Studies performances, and a fun-filled Humanities week, alongside event announcements such as Christmas tree and cakes sales.\"}]","Braybrook College Newsletter - Term 4, 2022 Edition no. 7 - Class of 2022 update | PDF",1789908178]
