we can imagine.Once westart walking down that path,He opens a door that no man can shut(Revelation 3:8).He's just waiting for us to ask Him to come into our heartsand be Lord of our lives. \nI want to share with you in this introduction my testimony of what God hasdone in my life since I surrendered control to Him. \nI was saved when I was twenty years old but it wasn't until I started writingthis book some forty years later that I truly made Him Lord of my life.I finallynot only discovered what He wanted me to do with my life but also startedreceiving the spiritual gifts He has been wanting to give me for so manyyears. \nWe never know when God is going to put into motion a chain of events toperfect His plan in our lives. \nIt started for me when I was led to BMS-FIT Ministry in Jessup,Maryland.Theowner,Michael A Jones, has a unique ministry of combining a spiritualworkout with a physical workout which he offers free to the community.Hedelivers a brief message during his Bible study every Wednesday eveningfollowed by a freestyle cardio kickboxing class. His messages are alwaysfresh, creative and relevant, bringing God's Word into our everyday lives.Hislaw enforcement background also impacts his deliveries with the disciplinehe tries to instill in us while walking with the Lord. \nDuring one Bible study Michael spoke about how riding shotgun with the HolySpirit has protected him throughout his twenty-four years of law enforcement. The image and message was so powerful to me that I felt compelled to writea poem about it.When I read it aloud to him along with two of his otherinspired messages,he said,\"You should write more.\"And just like that,Godused my prayer partner to plant the idea into my heart and mind. \nThough the thought hadn't occurred to me,by the next morning God made itcrystal clear to me that this was exactly what He wanted me to do.It's time. \nGod immediately started opening doors for me to make this book happen, and I felt a surge of discipline, energy and focus to take on the task.He putme on a course with the momentum of the Holy Spirit driving and leading meat the same time.I felt the force and urgency to get to work. \nGod's plans for us are always bigger than what we envision.I initially thoughtthey would be for my family and friends, capturing principles that wereimportant to me.The people in my Bible study would also appreciate havinga collection of many of the messages that Michael had discussed. \nGod changed that
