People would come from far and wide to watch.”  \nGrandpa told Babu,”I played Bolikhela at the fair for many years, your father also used to play. You were too young to play then. Your uncle carried you on his shoulders so you could watch Bolikhela.”  \nGrandpa reminded Babu,”You would beg us to let you play Bolikhela. Your father said that when you are ten years old, he will organize a special Bolikhela for the little ones . Today, that day has finally come .”  \nFather explained to Babu, “Bolikhela is a game of strength. Grab the opponent’s hand and waist and throw them down on their back. Only then will it be easy for you to win.  \n”  \nFather further explained, “Don’t forget, you should never hit your opponent’s head or leg. If you do, the referee will disqualify you from the game, and your opponent will win.”  \nBabu went to the field with his father to practice. He paid close attention.  \nThe next day, Babu and his whole family went to the Baishakhi Mela. There were merry-gorounds, puppet dances, lathi khela, and songs at the fair. There were booths with Babu’s favorite things: sweet lollipops, toy flutes, and much more!  \nThere was a sandy area prepared for Bolikhela on one side of the fair. As soon ashe entered the area, Babu excitedly thought,”I can do it!” However, his opponent, a boy named Tuku, was also quite good.
