returned to our Whitehouse location in2023!The campers made a splash both in the pooland in the Bittersweet Community with theirsmiles,excitement,and joy!  \nFor more than 20 seasons,  the SummerEnrichment Program has offered a wide range ofactivities both on-site at Bittersweet and in thelocal community.The program fostered positiveimpact for our campers by providing familiarstructure and routine through the summer,whichis crucial for individuals with autism.  \nThe Summer Enrichment Program in Whitehouseserved 13 participants in 2023.Highlights includedcommunity outings to the Toledo Zoo &Aquarium,Metroparks Toledo,Imagination Station,andvarious actvities on the Farm,such as crats.games,and swimming.These experiences nurtureparticipants'social skills,sensory integration,independence,and confidence to navigate life inall its splendor.  \nProgram Services Director,Abby Ritzman,said,\"Itwas so wonderful to see the participants enjoyingactivities in the community through structured  \nsupports.The program is also designed to assistthe students in interacting with peers,paving theway for social skill building and establishing newfriendships!\"  \nJulie Arnold,whose son Jack attended SummerEnrichment this year for the first time,sharedthese words of gratitude:\"This has been my son'sbest summer ever!Thank you from the bottom ofmy heart for making this possible for him.Yourwork means the world.\"  \nIn addition to the Summer Enrichment Program inWhitehouse,the Extended School Year(ESY)Program in Pemberville served 12 students in 2023.Highlights included community outings to theToledo Zoo &Aquarium.bowling,and local parks.  \nWe asked some of the Pemberville participantsabout their favorite summer memories.Picnics atthe park were Josh's favorite,while the highlight ofBen's summer was playing with Play-Doh,anexcellent activity for sensory input!As it turns out,when it comes to summer fun,sometimes thesimplestjoys are the
