Overview: This recommendation is to renew the contract to purchase various food products for the Food and Nutrition Services department within the Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) .  \n1. Other facts:  \n• The renewal term will be effective from August 1, 2016 through July 31 2018, with no renewal options remaining.  \n• Approximately $2,084,181 will be spent against this contract in FY16.  \n• Items may be added throughout the contract based on changes in student feedback, nutritional requirements, and to add variety.  \n• This bid contains items to cover any FCPS needs beyond the allocations received from USDA for processed commodity items.  \n• Contract pricing has decreased approximately 1% in aggregate compared to last year’s contract.  \n• The Consumer Price Index shows a 7.7% increase for food at elementary and secondary schools.  \n• Delivery shall be made to 18 Food Service Complex Sites.  \n• This contract will be administered by Robert Kelly, Senior Manager Food and Nutrition Services.  \n2.
