By the end of the adventure the characters should reach 13th level. You can run \nthe adventure for as few as one player or as many as six players. \nYou can run Divine Contention as a stand-alone adventure or as the concluding part in a trilogy called Beyond the Dragon ofIcespire Peak (of which Storm Lord’s Wrath is the first adventure and Sleeping Dragon’s Wake is the second). This adventure trilogy can be played as a sequel to Dragon of Icespire Peak, the adventure that comes with the D&D Essentials Kit. \nTo run this adventure, you need the D&D fifth edition core rulebooks: Player’s Handbook, Dungeon Master’s Guide, and Monster Manual. The Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide is helpful but not necessary. \nThe Monster Manual contains stat blocks for most of the creatures found in this adventure. All the necessary stat blocks are included there or in appendix A. When a creature’s name appears in bold type, that’s a visual cue for you to lookup the creature’s stat block in the Monster Manual, unless the adventure’s text instead refers you to the monster appendix in this adventure. \nSpells and equipment mentioned in the adventure are described in the Player’s Handbook. Magic items are described in the Dungeon Master’s Guide. \n􀀵􀁘􀁑􀁑􀁌􀁑􀁊 􀁉􀁒􀁕 􀀲􀁑􀁈 􀀳􀁏􀁄􀁜􀁈􀁕 \nIf you’re running this adventure for a single player, you can give that player a sidekick as a secondary character. Let the player choose one of the pregenerated sidekicks that come with this adventure in appendix B. If a sidekick is lost or no longer needed, the player character can return to Leilon and acquire a new one. \n􀀸􀁖􀁌􀁑􀁊 􀀶􀁌􀁇􀁈􀁎􀁌􀁆􀁎􀁖 \nMake sure the player understands the roles and limitations of sidekicks in this adventure: \n Sidekicks are stalwart companions who can perform tasks both in and out of combat, including things such as setting up camp and carrying gear. \n Ideally, a sidekick’s abilities should complement those of the main character. For example, a spellcaster makes a good sidekick for a fighter or rogue. \n􀀤􀁇􀁍􀁘􀁖􀁗􀁌􀁑􀁊 􀀨􀁑􀁆􀁒􀁘􀁑􀁗􀁈􀁕􀁖 \nThis adventure contains advice for adjusting encounters based on the number of characters in the party. You are empowered to modify the number of enemies in an encounter and their hit point totals as you see fit.","cbCaii4OyrINLjnF","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaii4OyrINLjnF","pdf",22177722,66,"English","# Introduction\n## Running the Adventure\n## Running for One Player\n## The Adventure Begins\n## Map of the Sword Coast\n## Welcome to Leilon\n## Exploring Leilon\n## Dumathoin’s Gulch\n## Ebondeath’s Mausoleum\n## Icingdeath and Twinkle\n## Events\n# Leilon Besieged\n## Quest Overview\n## Running the Battle\n## Order of Events\n## Battle Flowchart\n## Storm Lord’s Hideout\n## Thalivar’s Beacon\n## Into the Ethereal\n## Ending the Adventure\n# Appendix A: Creatures\n# Appendix B: Sidekicks\n# Appendix C: Player Maps\n# Appendix D: Additional Locations\n# Credits","[{\"question\":\"What character levels is Divine Contention designed for, and what level should players reach by the end?\",\"answer\":\"The adventure is designed for characters level 11–12 and should reach level 13 by the end.\"},{\"question\":\"How many players can run Divine Contention, and can it be played standalone?\",\"answer\":\"It can be run for as few as one player or as many as six players.
