perform years before andwanted her to appear in a new show,\"Bonsoir Liliane!,\"an homage toFrench dancer and Broadway star Liliane Montevecchi.Lallone would playthe young Montevecchi, who had started out as a ballet dancer. When Duffasked if Lallone would consider taking a leave of absence from PNB,shealready knew her availability wouldn't be an issue. She took the leap. \n\"Bonsoir Liliane!\"was a fortuitous introduction to the year-round cirque-comedy-cabaret show that performs under a beautifully restored,pre-WorldWar ll spiegeltent. The production gave her the opportunity to work withMontevecchi and Tommy Tune, both of whom she greatly admires, and tochallenge herself—the role required her to not only act but to sing,some-thing she hadn't tried before. \nThat initial experience made her want to do more. She realized thatshe could take her balletic turning and jumping skills and move them intothe air,so she began working with an aerial coach and developed an actincorporating a lyra hoop.At her most recent show, she was whipping offfouetté turns with the apparatus. \nShe is grateful for her new niche and enjoys continuing to perform inSeattle, where people who once saw her dance with PNB can now see herperform with ZinZanni.\"I don't think that anyone who's seen Balanchine's'Rubies'would expect to see what I do now from the same person,\"shesays.\"You keep pushing
