2023.For  \nthose of ·you who need a gentle reminder or  \nnew to the journey,I want to remind you  \nwhat BEYOND is.  \nWe are going BEYOND fo trust Him in every area of our life and  \nBEYOND live out our faith in word and deed.  \nSince 2020,we have experienced an increased need for spiritual andmental health services for the communities we serve.Families are simplýunder increased levels of stress.We need solutions to give an increasedlevel of spiritual,mental and physical support.God has sent more K-12children from all over our city and suburbs that need mentorship and asafe place to grow.Spaces that were set aside for these youth arebeginning to reach capacity.  \nBy God's grace,we,the people of City of Light,committed over$1 milliondollars to the 2-year BEYOND Initiative!We have grown as a church by15%this past year,hired two staff members,our childrens'and studentministries have grown,and significantly increased our outreach to  \nSoutheast Wisconsin.People have met Jesus for the first time,lives havebeen changed,and faith has been stretched and strengthened.To God bethe glory for all the great things He has done!  \n.We now find ourselves at the halfway point of this BEYOND journey.Wehave come too far to go back to comfort,ease,quietness,boredom,fearfulness,or anxiety.We do not want to rest on our victories andbecome complacent.Similarly,we do not want to wallow in any hits wehave taken this year and become discouraged.Rather,we want to takethe words of the Apostle Paul to heart:  \n\"Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ,so that whether 1come and see you or am absent,I may hear of you that you are standing firm inone spirit,with one mind,striving side by side for the faith of the gospel.\"Philippians 1:27  \nSo this November we are saying with full confidence in Christ that we aregoing BEYOND.My hope is that the coming weeks will be encouragingand will invigorate your faith in your faith to continue trusting andtreasuring Jesus with all of your life and BEYOND!  \nGoing BEYOND with you!PASTOR BRIAN  \nBEYOND FOR OUR MISSION.What we started before BEYOND  \nBefore BEYOND began,our general budget wassufficient,but we were stretched in most of ourministry areas of adults,sfudents,and children;and we sought to do more outreach and  \ncommunity events as well.Our general budgetamount before BEYOND over a two-year periodwas:$600K  \nWhat we set out to do with BEYONDOur vision with BEYOND was to invigorate ourministry environments to see people encounterJesus,empower the next generation of childrenand students,and see life change through ouradult ministries.We stretched our faith for  \nBEYOND in this area,as we sought to.put moreemphasis towards staff,a space that supportschurch growth and outreach to SoutheastWIsconsin and our world.So our BEYOND  \ninitiative goal over a two-year period was:$2.4M.What God did through BEYOND.  \nThere was a gap between what we committed andthe goal,so
