She was the loving mother of Jim (Susan) Benner and Donna (David) Mitchell, and a dear grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her sister Ruth Cutter and Grace Barnhardt, and was predeceased by her husband Donald Benner, her parents James and Mabel Shane, and her sister June Vesterfelt. Friends and relatives are invited to call at W.G. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME in Stratford on Friday, June 18, 2010, from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place at a later date in Fort Erie. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to House of Blessing or Jubilee Christian Fellowship, which can be arranged through the funeral home.
