The story, written by HerStory Foundation and illustrated by Jeetu Ahmed, follows Kangalini as she travels from town to town, playing her ektara (a one-string instrument) and singing songs about freedom and kindness. Her music brings joy to people, making them cheer, laugh, and offer her coins. Kangalini's core message is that all creatures are equal, made of joyful light, and possess hearts meant for loving. She emphasizes that living to love and singing to live, by listening to one's heart, is the secret to a joyful life, and this freedom is accessible to everyone. The document also includes a \"Note\" section that provides background information on Bauls, describing them as wandering musicians of Bengal who believe in equality and the power of love and joy. It mentions Lalon Shah, a significant Baul figure from hundreds of years ago in Kushtia, Bangladesh, who propagated these principles. Finally, a \"Wonderful Words\" section defines \"Ektara\" and \"Gamcha.\" The narrative is enriched by three accompanying images: one depicting a figure with a slingshot in a floral landscape near water with a sailboat, another featuring a hand holding a stringed instrument against a backdrop of text, and a third displaying the \"Let's Read The Asia Foundation\" logo with an elephant reading a book.","Bauls: Heart’s Song HerStory Foundation \nJeetu Ahmed \nBaul’s Heart Song \nWritten by HerStory Foundation Illustrated by Jeetu Ahmed \nLittle Kangalini wandered far and near .
