They stressed that this SOP will help capitalize on Jamuna’s untapped potential to boost economic growth and contribute to WB SAR’s engagement in river basin management of the Brahmaputra-Ganges-Meghna river system, and the implementation of the Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100 (BDP2100) .  \nDirectors appreciated the operation’s comprehensive and innovative approach incorporating nature-based solutions for flood and erosion management, alongside efforts to adopt dynamic navigation for enhancing Inland Waterway Transport (IWT) . They encouraged sustaining multisectoral collaborative efforts, including support for other programs under the BDP2100 .  \nDirectors noted the risks associated with project implementation, particularly the challenges related to Environmental and Social (E&S) impacts, interagency coordination, and fiduciary aspects. They emphasized engagement with the Borrower to ensure the needed institutional capacity building for the Government and to improve the use of country systems. They stressed the importance of implementing enhanced monitoring and mitigation measures, in coordination with relevant stakeholders. They encouraged deeper coordination with other IFIs and World Bankfinanced projects in the broader river system and asked for continued enhancement of accountability and ownership by beneficiaries to better sustain future projects under the SOP. They also encouraged a stronger push on fully utilizing opportunities to promote gender equality through the SOP.  \nDirectors commended the operation's emphasis on integrating community engagement and encouraged continuing this focus on social inclusion in future projects.
