This successful program has recently been completely revised and it is totally current.  \nThe Back to Basics Program [Chemistry and Hematology] is owned and copyrighted  \n[2012] by the BC Society of Laboratory Science [BCSLS]. Any reproduction, in whole or  \nin part, is strictly prohibited. The components of Back to Basics, DVDs or online  \nmodules, are for individual personal use only and duplication or sharing of any  \nmaterials , written or electronic, is also strictly prohibited. Violation of copyright may  \nbe prosecuted.  \nThe BCSLS will entertain a licensing agreement with educational institutions for the  \nuse of Back to Basics for educational purposes. Book not included in course.  \nCourse Credit Hours:  \nHematology: 24  \n• In determining the credit hours we consider the videos and written material within the modules, preparation and /or study time and then of course the final exam(s) . This is an estimated figure and of course it will be different for different people.  \nPASSING MARKS  \n􀁩 BCSLS & CSMLS Policies stipulate that a passing mark is 60% or higher.  \nTimelines and Deadlines:  \n􀁩 Enrollment: You can enrol anytime during the year, as it’s a self study course.  \n􀁩 Course completion: You have FOUR months to complete all of your course(s) and exam(s) that you have registered for, starting from your first day of registration.  \n􀁩 Course material access: You will have access to any online course videos and materials for a four month period from the date of initial registration.  \n􀁩 Extensions: If, for some reason, you require additional time you will need to contact the office and apply for an extension. Submitted to the office at least 2 weeks before your month deadline.  \n􀁩 Exam(s) written: you must send us the name, email, phone and address of your invigilator two weeks before you want to write the exam.  \n􀁩 Exam marks: Will be released to the student, up to 4 weeks after you have submitted the online exam.  \n􀁩 If you do not complete the exam you will be given an INCOMPLETE standing.  \nWhat to expect once you have registered for:  \nOnline course(s):  \n• Once you register and pay for your course(s), you will receive a confirmation email.  \n• It will take 4-7 days to set you up in the online system. At which point you will receive an email with your username (case sensitive) and your temporary password and link to the course website.  \n• Go to the website link. You will be prompted to change your password.  \n• All of your course materials (video’s, exam(s) and written materials) will be found in there.  \n• You have 4 months to complete your course(s) and exam(s), after which time your access is terminated.  \n• After you have finished and submitted your exam(s), it will take 2-4 weeks for it tobe graded.  \n• You will receive an official letter of completion from BCSLS after your grades have been received in the office.  \n• If you want your grades to be sent to another party (ex.
