Many aspects of the 2-litre turbocharged direct injection engine have been modified to reduce emissions further and provide even better performance.  \nThe changes include new injectors, an increase in injection pressure from 200 to 350 bar and improvements with regard to internal friction. The acoustic properties have also been improved further. Emissions have been improved by increasing the volumes of the petrol particulate filters and catalytic converters, ensuring that the vehicles comply with the emission standard required by law.  \nAudi offers the engines in 3 power classes (PC) and in both longitudinal and transverse layouts.
