M, dated June 30, 2025) defines requirements and expectations for First Article Inspection to provide objective evidence of compliance and traceability to AS9102 and customer requirements. It outlines objectives for a consistent FAI process across Sonaca NA facilities and suppliers, emphasizes completion rules for FAIR content, and addresses exceptions for including detail parts within assembly FAIRs. It also specifies storage and submission approaches for Net-Inspect and related compliance constraints, plus partial or re-accomplishment rules when changes invalidate prior results.",{"@graph":14,"@context":73},[15,34,56],{"@type":16,"itemListElement":17},"BreadcrumbList",[18,23,27,31],{"item":19,"name":20,"@type":21,"position":22},"https://docshare.wps.com","Home","ListItem",1,{"item":24,"name":25,"@type":21,"position":26},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/","Document",2,{"item":28,"name":29,"@type":21,"position":30},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/research-report/","Research & Report",3,{"item":32,"name":10,"@type":21,"position":33},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/as9102-fai-standard-rev-m-revision-m-change-summary/664101/",4,{"url":32,"name":10,"@type":35,"image":36,"author":41,"headline":10,"publisher":44,"fileFormat":47,"inLanguage":8,"description":12,"dateModified":48,"datePublished":49,"encodingFormat":47,"isAccessibleForFree":50,"interactionStatistic":51},"DigitalDocument",{"url":37,"@type":38,"width":39,"height":40},"https://docshare.wps.com/thumbnails/as9102-fai-standard-rev-m-revision-m-change-summary/664101.png","ImageObject",300,407,{"name":42,"@type":43},"nayy☆","Person",{"url":19,"name":45,"@type":46},"DocShare","Organization","application/pdf","2026-10-30","2026-10-29",true,{"@type":52,"interactionType":53,"userInteractionCount":55},"InteractionCounter",{"@type":54},"ViewAction",5,{"@type":57,"mainEntity":58},"FAQPage",[59,65,69],{"name":60,"@type":61,"acceptedAnswer":62},"What are the two most basic requirements for completing a FAIR under this standard?","Question",{"text":63,"@type":64},"The standard states the basic requirements are “COMPLIANCE” and “TRACEABILITY”. M 03/31/2025 \nAS9102 FAI Standard \nObjective of the FAI Standard \n• Provide objective evidence of compliance to AS9102Rev Cand customer requirements. \n• Strive for a consistent FAI process across all Sonaca NA facilities and their Suppliers \n• Reduce questions and confusion relative to completing FAI documentation . \n• Eliminate Customer rejection/return of FAI packages. \n4 \nAS9102 FAI Standard \nThe most basic requirement for the completion of a FAIR is: \n“COMPLIANCE” and “TRACEABILITY” \nThe FAIR will provide proof of compliance and traceability to the AS9102 and Customer requirements for the product. \n*** \n. \n5 \nAS9102 FAI Standard-General Notes \ntheir own complete, individual FAI package. \n• Do not combine detail part requirements and assembly requirements in one FAIR, even if it is manufactured per the same build package or job/release (see exception below) . \nException: When the engineering does not define the manufactured detail part as a unique part/dash number, separate from the assembly, the detail can be included in the assembly FAI. \nFor example, when engineering defines the detail part and the installation of a component (such as a bushing or bearing) as one part/dash number and the deliverable product is an assembly, a single FAI may be produced to encompass the complete process. \n6 \nAS9102 FAI Standard-General Notes \n• When required by the customer, FAIR packages will be created, maintained \nand submitted to customers through Net-Inspect. FAIRs for military or DOD programs cannot be created or stored in cloud-based systems unless the system is FEDRAMP compliant, such as NetInspect. Military or DOD part FAIs may be maintained on the NAS file server, site local network, NetInspect or other CMMC compliant system . These FAIs should be provided to the Customer as described in applicable flow down requirements . \n• Sonaca NA Suppliers: Each FAIR package will be submitted to SNA through Net-Inspect; this includes the sub-assembly, detail part FAIRs of an assembly FAIR, or FAIs for pass through (manufacture complete) parts . \n• When allowed by customer, it is acceptable to complete only Net Inspect Form 1, in its entirety, and then upload (attach) the complete “hardcopy”FAIR package (FAI Forms 1, 2, 3, certs, engineering, supporting documentation, etc.) into Net-Inspect. \n7 \nAS9102 FAI Standard-General Notes \nPer AS9102 Section 4.6 Partial or Re-accomplishment of First Article Inspection: \na. The original FAI requirement shall continue to apply even after initial compliance. \nb. The FAI shall be repeated when changes occur that invalidate or are not represented in the original results. \nThese FAI requirements shall be satisfied by a FAI that addresses the changes from a baseline part number, provided all other characteristics were conforming on the previous FAI and are still produced by the original production processes. This is referred to as a partial FAI and the scope will be determined based the evaluation of process or design changes under AS9102 section 4.6.f. \nNOTE 1: A full FAI may be completed in place of a partial FAI. \n8 \nAS9102 FAI Standard-General Notes \naccomplishment of First Article Inspection: \nd. When performing a partial FAI, the organization shall complete the affected fields in the FAI forms . \ne . When performing a partial FAI, the organization shall record the “Baseline Part Number,” including the revision level and reason for the partial FAI on Form 1 (see field 14) . \nNOTE 1:","cbCaipMw09wnTF0T","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaipMw09wnTF0T","pdf",1620977,107,"English","# Revision M Change Summary\n## Objective of the FAI Standard\n## Completion Requirement: Compliance and Traceability\n## General Notes\n## Net-Inspect, storage, and submission requirements\n## Partial or Re-accomplishment of First Article Inspection","[{\"question\":\"What are the two most basic requirements for completing a FAIR under this standard?\",\"answer\":\"The standard states the basic requirements are “COMPLIANCE” and “TRACEABILITY”.
