It emphasizes the importance of understanding room relationships, grouping functional areas, and analyzing traffic patterns to create efficient layouts. By utilizing these design stages, students can effectively translate requirements into structured spatial organizations, ensuring public, semi-public, and private zones are appropriately integrated. The guide includes visual examples of site analysis, bubble relationships, and block diagrams to assist in creating professional architectural portfolios. Each sketch must be formally documented with a title, signature, and date to demonstrate design progression and spatial planning competency.",{"@graph":69,"@context":122},[70,84,105],{"@type":71,"itemListElement":72},"BreadcrumbList",[73,77,79,82],{"item":74,"name":75,"@type":76,"position":8},"https://docshare.wps.com","Home","ListItem",{"item":78,"name":9,"@type":76,"position":14},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/",{"item":80,"name":57,"@type":76,"position":81},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/general/",3,{"item":83,"name":65,"@type":76,"position":19},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/architectural-design-ii-bubble-and-block-floor-plan-sketching-guide/657309/",{"url":83,"name":65,"@type":85,"image":86,"author":91,"headline":65,"publisher":94,"fileFormat":97,"inLanguage":63,"description":67,"dateModified":98,"datePublished":99,"encodingFormat":97,"isAccessibleForFree":100,"interactionStatistic":101},"DigitalDocument",{"url":87,"@type":88,"width":89,"height":90},"https://docshare.wps.com/thumbnails/architectural-design-ii-bubble-and-block-floor-plan-sketching-guide/657309.png","ImageObject",300,407,{"name":92,"@type":93},"naya.afterrain","Person",{"url":74,"name":95,"@type":96},"DocShare","Organization","application/pdf","2026-10-30","2026-10-26",true,{"@type":102,"interactionType":103,"userInteractionCount":8},"InteractionCounter",{"@type":104},"ViewAction",{"@type":106,"mainEntity":107},"FAQPage",[108,114,118],{"name":109,"@type":110,"acceptedAnswer":111},"What is the purpose of a bubble diagram in architectural design?","Question",{"text":112,"@type":113},"A bubble diagram is used to illustrate the functional relationships and connections between different rooms or spaces in a building project.","Answer",{"name":115,"@type":110,"acceptedAnswer":116},"Why is a block diagram developed from a bubble diagram?",{"text":117,"@type":113},"A block diagram is used to translate the bubble representations into a more structured layout, specifically focusing on optimizing traffic patterns and separating private, public, and semi-public zones.",{"name":119,"@type":110,"acceptedAnswer":120},"What requirements are listed for the final sketches?",{"text":121,"@type":113},"Each sketch must be performed on its own A-size sheet of paper and must include a title, signature, and date.","https://schema.org",{"og:url":83,"og:type":124,"og:title":65,"og:site_name":95,"og:description":67},"article",{"robots":126,"canonical":83},"index,follow",{"doc_id":128,"site_id":62},657309,1792977270,{"code":4,"msg":5,"data":131},{"doc_id":128,"user_id":132,"nickname":92,"user_avatar":133,"doc_module":4,"category_id":56,"category_name":57,"doc_title":65,"doc_description":67,"doc_content":134,"file_id":135,"file_url":136,"file_type":137,"file_size":138,"view_count":8,"is_deleted":4,"is_public":8,"is_downloadable":8,"audit_status":8,"page_count":14,"language":139,"language_code":63,"site_id":62,"html_lang":63,"table_of_contents":140,"faqs":141,"seo_title":142,"seo_description":67,"update_tm":129,"read_time":81},962094248482,"https://ap-avatar.wpscdn.com/davatar_9964176cb1d06d4a9deccf72a44ae3dc","Architectural Design II Dossin \nBUBBLE, BLOCK and rough floor plan sketching \nAt this point you should know what type of rooms/ spaces are required for your commercial space. Now it is time to start developing the floor plan. Sketch out Bubble, Block and a Rough Floor Plan for your commercial space. Do each sketch on its own A-size sheet of paper. Title, sign and date each of your sketches. These sketches will be scanned in for your portfolio to show that you are familiar with the process of design. \nShown below is the example from last year when you did your dream house design. \n1. Bubble Diagram: Show the relationship between the rooms (spaces). \nGroup and link up the spaces (rooms) that you will have in your house. The bubble diagram is a good way of showing what spaces (rooms) you are going to have in your house and how they relate to each other. \n2. From the Bubble Diagram develop a Block Diagram \nBelow shows how to make the bubble representation of spaces and activities you connected and grouped up into a floor plan. This is a good time to think about traffic patterns in the house. For instance, you do not want to go through private areas (bedrooms) to public (kitchen) and semi-public spaces (office) . \n3. Draw a Rough Floor Plan Outline \nDraw a basic floor plan showing exterior and interior walls. As you go on you will start to refine your floor plan further with more interior walls, windows, stairs and major fixtures. \n***** As Always-Title, Sign and Date each of your sketches *****","cbCair81fMpQMPwo","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCair81fMpQMPwo","pdf",242583,"English","# Design Process Overview\n## 1.
