They expressed strong support for the operation’s three pillars. Directors stressed the importance of building on the lessons learned from the first DPF, especially on accountability in public policy making, fiscal policies, and private sector development and job creation.  \nDirectors highlighted the timeliness ofthe operation, as region-wide shocks threaten the country’s shortterm stability. They noted that the DPF provides long-term financing amidst rising risk premia while supporting the country’s structural reform agenda, including on state-owned enterprise governance, fiscal transparency, and energy and water sectors.
