ALL of our HLC students-Harbor Jr/Sr High, Open Doors/GED, and GHA online students MUST take our state assessment, the Smarter Balance. Grades 3-8 and Grade 10 must take the Math and ELA state tests. Additionally, Grade 5, 8 and 11 must take the state science test. Juniors and Seniors must take the math and/or ELA state tests if they need to pass it to meet their graduation requirements. State testing starts March 30th! \n● Day of Service, Thursday, May 21 \nThis will be our fourth annual Day of Service. There is no school on Friday, May 22, since it is a weather make up day.(Unless something happens between now and May 22!) Our ASB students help plan the Day of Service. Our staff host a service activity, and students choose which activity they want to help with. In the past we have washed cars, painted over graffiti in the neighborhood, painted and spruced up the facility, picked up trash, etc. We end our service projects with a BBQ ! Stay tuned for more information. \n● HLC New School \nWork with the TCF Architecture Firm on the design for our new school continues. Funded with targeted dollars from our state through a Seismic Grant, our school relocates to the grassy field adjacent to the AHS student parking lot/across the street West from St. Mary’s. View the images of our new building- inside and out in the lobby outside the main office. \n● Skyward is changing in 26-27 School Year \nWhen students return in the fall, Skyward will look different!
