Applicant must be a New Jersey licensee with privileges in good standing.  \n2. Applicant must be out of the tri-state area, or country, for an extended period.  \n3. Applicant must have a New Jersey driver license. New Jersey driver license holders are eligible for a duplicate license or a 4-year license renewal. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:3-10f, a stored photograph may only be reused twice for a license renewal. If an applicant for license renewal has reused their photograph on the two preview renewals, then the applicant is required by law to visit a local Motor Vehicle Commission Licensing Center to renew their driver’s license.  \n4.
