Before you begin the online application process, carefully review the application details and important deadlines.  \nApplication Deadline  \nPriority is given to completed applications, including all supporting documents, received on or before January 27, 2025.  \nDecisions for our fi rst round will be announced in early March. If you have missed the fi rst-round deadline, please contact a member of the admissions team for details about our second-round process.  \nOverview Of the Application Process  \nA completed application to Grades nine through twelve consists of the following items:  \nFirst Step  \nSubmit Online Application Form  \nAdditional Steps (to be completed in any order)  \n Interview with Parent/Guardian  \n Attend Shadow Visit & Student Interview  \n Submit Student Prepared Essay  \n Request English/History and Math Teacher Evaluations  \n Request Personal Interest Evaluation Form  \n Submit SSAT or ISEE Test Scores  \n Request Academic Transcript  \nAlthough not required, parents are encouraged to attend an admissions event during the application season (September 2024 through January 2025).  \n➔ View a calendar of admissions events at “Visit St. Andrew’s” [on sasaustin.org](on sasaustin.org). You can also contact the Admissions Team to set up an appointment.  \nOnline Application Form  \nClick the “Apply” button on the Apply Page to complete the online application form. You will be prompted to create an account on mySAS, our admissions portal.  \n➔ If you are a current parent, please log in to your existing mySAS account and click the “Apply” button on the “Resources” tab.  \nTo track the status of an application, log in to mySAS and review the online checklist. A $125.00 application fee is required with the submission of an application. For families interested in receiving a fee waiver, please contact Priscilla Lund atplund@sasaustin.org or 512-299-9802.  \nParent/Guardian Interview  \nParents/guardians are required to visit with a member of the Admissions Interview Team via Google Meet.  \n➔ If you have multiple children applying, only one parent interview is necessary.  \nTo schedule your interview, log in to your mySAS account and use the sign-up feature located to the right of the checklist. We encourage you to schedule your appointment early to schedule your preferred interview time.  \nPlease note: Parents are only able to schedule an interview on mySAS after the online application is received and processed by a member of the Admissions Team.  \nStudent Interview & Shadow Visit  \nUpper School applicants are required to interview with a member of St. Andrew’s Upper School staff. This Interview takes place during a shadow visit day. Shadowing is offered from October to January.  \nTo schedule the student interview and shadow visit, log in to your mySAS account and select the sign-up button to the right of the checklist.  \n➔ Applicants must submit the online application form before signing up for an interview and shadow visit.  \nStudent Prepared Essay  \nApplicants are required to complete one of two essay prompts found in the online application checklist. Please upload the completed essay as a PDF or Word document in mySAS portal.  \nTeacher Evaluations  \nWe request evaluations from the applicant’s current English or History teacher and current Math teacher. The teachers will submit the completed form directly to St. Andrew’s.  \nThe teacher evaluation form is available through the online checklist. Access by logging into mySAS and selecting your student’s name. For multiple students applying, hover over“children” to select the applicant.
