Provided below is a checklist of the items needed for your child’s application to be considered for admission.  \n APPLICATION AND $100 NONREFUNDABLE FEE  \nComplete online through Ravenna, our secure online software, and submit in the fall of the year prior to the anticipated entrance.  \n PARENT STATEMENT  \nThe Parent Statement is to be completed online through Ravenna before attending the Parent Interview / Child Visit.  \n PARENT INTERVIEW / CHILD VISIT  \nSchedule your Parent Interview / Child Visit once an application has been submitted. Registration is available online through Ravenna.  \n CLASS VISIT  \nStudents applying for admission to Fourth or Fifth Grade are required to spend the day at Pine Crest in a Class Visit after the Parent Interview / Child Visit is completed. Applicants spend the day in their current grade level, and complete additional in-class assessments during the Class Visit. Registration is available online through Ravenna.  \n IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS  \nCopy of Birth Certificate; Copy of Passport and Visa, if not a U. S. citizen  \n TEACHER RECOMMENDATION FORM  \nSubmitted to the child’s school through Ravenna after November 1.  \n ACADEMIC RECORDS  \nPine Crest School requires grades from the first semester of the current year in addition to those of the previous three years. Schools may upload their academic records directly to Ravenna.  \n TESTING  \nFourth and Fifth Grade applicants are required to take the Elementary Level (EL) SSAT. The EL SSAT is offered at the Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton campuses beginning in December. The applicant may take the test on one of our campuses or at another testing location. We encourage students to register for the December or January test to be considered in the first round of admission decisions. Please be sure that SSAT forwards the test results directly to Pine Crest School by entering the code for either the Fort Lauderdale campus (5794) orthe Boca Raton campus (5795).  \nNotes: Fourth Grade candidates must be nine years of age, and Fifth Grade must be ten years of age by August 1.  \nTOURS  \nTours are not required; however, you may schedule a tour of the school through Ravenna.  \nPREFERRED APPLICATION DEADLINE IS JANUARY 15  \nTo be considered in the initial group of applications reviewed by the Admission Committee, the application must be submitted and completed by January 15 .
