If students in AP courses choose to not take the AP exam (see below) for that course, they will not have to take a final exam instead. The days originally allocated to a reading day and five days for final exams (May 27-29, June 1-3) will be used for additional class time. For students in grades 7-11, the school year will end on June 3. \nAdvanced Placement (AP) Program \nThe College Board has rescheduled AP exam dates due to COVID-19. Exams will begin on May 11 at 12:00 pm and conclude on May 22 with the final exam starting at 4:00 pm (Please click here for the complete schedule). Students will take the exam at home on their own computers. They will consist of free response questions only with a 45 minute time limit. The College Board has assured AP Coordinators that they have protocols in place to ensure exam integrity. Please contact Mr. Cocozello ([ccocozello@delbarton.org](ccocozello@delbarton.org)) with any questions. AP exams will only include topics and skills most AP teachers and students have already covered in class by early March. \nAs such, Delbarton AP classes will spend the remainder of the academic year in review for the exam and not cover new material. Students will be able to take AP exams at home on any device they have access to-computer, tablet, or smartphone. Taking a photo of handwritten work will also be an option. Students are encouraged to attend free, live AP review courses, delivered by AP teachers from across the country. For more details see the AP Program page. \nClick here to view exam security information for the AP Testing Program. \nClick here for Course-Specific Exam Information. \nPlacement in AP Courses \nAny student who has been accepted into 3 or more AP courses for next year; is increasing the number of AP courses they are taking by 2 or more; or has been specifically requested to do so MUST complete the Advanced Placement (AP) Course Waiver Form. Failure to do so could result in reconsideration of the student's AP course load. \nStudents must complete it along with their parents and return it to their current grade-level guidance counselor via email. After course lists for next year are made available to students on PowerSchool, students will have one week to return the completed form. \nStandardized Testing \nCollege Board canceled the May 2, 2020 SAT and SAT Subject Test administration. Makeup exams for the March 14 administration (scheduled for March 28) are also canceled. Students who already registered for May, whose March test centers were closed, or who do not receive March scores because of any irregularities will receive refunds. The June 6, 2020 SAT and SAT Subject Test administration has not yet been canceled. \nThe College Board has canceled the School Day SAT for ALL dates in April. There will be no inschool SAT this spring. The Delbarton administration is considering adding an in-school SAT for the Class of 2021 in October. \nACT has rescheduled its April 4 national test date to June 13. All students registered for the April 4 test date will receive an email from ACT informing them of the postponement and instructions for free rescheduling to June 13 or a future national test date. See here for more details. ACT is offering digital learning and workforce resources, including free online test prep.","cbCaile20IpKUCgN","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaile20IpKUCgN","pdf",209535,"English","# Advanced Placement (AP) Program\n## Placement in AP Courses\n# Standardized Testing","[{\"question\":\"Why are final examinations for all courses canceled?\",\"answer\":\"Because school is closed through at least Friday, April 17, final examinations are canceled.\"},{\"question\":\"What are the new AP exam dates and how will exams be taken?\",\"answer\":\"AP exams run from May 11 at 12:00 pm to May 22, with the final exam starting at 4:00 pm.
