You will need to confirm your exams even if you do not plan to take them all. \n(If you can not complete these tasks please contact the College Board Directly 888-225-5427 [or](or apstudents@info.collegeboard.org)[ ](or apstudents@info.collegeboard.org)[apstudents@info.collegeboard.org](or apstudents@info.collegeboard.org)) \nExam Payments and Payment Refunds: \n● Please make sure that all exams you plan to take are paid for in full prior to taking the exam. \n○ You do not need to cancel any of the exam(s) you no longer intend to take. \n● The SVHS AP coordinator, Mr. Yarmus, will get a list of those students who take exams. Students who do not test and who already paid for an exam(s) will be issued a refund. Students who test and have a balance due will be issued an obligation for the cost ofthe exam(s) . \nAP Exam Content & Format: \n● Most AP exams (see exemption list below) will be in an online, open book, open note format and 45 minutes in length. \n○ All questions will be free response and students may be required to cite primary and secondary sources for responses. All questions will focus on application of learning through written response. \n○ The exam format and questions are being designed specifically for an at-home administration, so points will not be earned from content that can be found in textbooks or online. \n○ Each question will be timed separately. Students will need to write and submit their responses within the allotted time for each question. \n○ Students taking world language and culture exams will complete two spoken tasks consistent with freeresponse questions 3 and 4 on the current AP Exam. Written responses will not be required. \n● Course Specific Exam Information included content to be tested on each exam, as well as the new exam format for each AP course. \n● Certain courses—Art and Design: 2D; Art and Design: 3D; and Computer Science Principles:—will use portfolio submissions and will not have a separate online exam. All deadlines for these submissions have been extended to May 26, 2020, 11:59 p.m. ET. Teachers and students may receive separate course-specific communications. \n● AP’s Tips for Success on Open Book/Open Note Exams \nProcedures & Academic Honesty for Online AP Exams: \n● In late April, AP will provide AP students and educators with information on how to access the testing system on test day, and video demonstrations so that students can familiarize themselves with the system. \n● Students will be able to take exams on any device they have access to—computer, tablet, or smartphone. \n○ They'll be able to type and upload their responses or write responses by hand and submit a photo via their cell phones. \n● Students will need to access the online testing system 30 minutes prior to testing. \n● For most subjects, the exams will be 45 minutes long, plus an additional 5 minutes for uploading. \n● The exam format and questions are being designed specifically for an at-home administration, so points will not be earned from content that can be found in textbooks or online. \n○ However, students taking the exams may not consult with any other individuals during the testing period. \n○ AP will take the necessary steps to protect the integrity of each exam administration, as they do every year. For the small number of students who may try to gain an unfair advantage, AP has a comprehensive and strict set of protocols in place to prevent and detect cheating.
