Eickhoff \nIntroduction \nIn order to understand the magnitude of the life of Anna Julia Cooper, one has to understand the historical timeframe in which she was born. The years leading to Anna’s birth and events that followed had a tremendous significance on how Anna viewed the world and how she approached her future endeavors.
