She loves to teach kids how to grow crops and prepare recipes from the garden. She promotes and teaches gardening and nutrition programs in Latin American countries.  \nEnglish  \nAna is a girl that lives in a beautiful Mayan village in Guatemala. Ana loves to eat corn tortillas. She eats them every day.  \nAna asked her mom to teach her how to make corn tortillas. Ana's mom told her the first step is to clean the corn from the field by removing the husks and silk.  \nThen Ana's mom showed her how to grind corn and prepare the dough. Ana helped by adding water when her mon told her to.  \nThen Ana's mom showed her how to form small dough balls and flatten them with her hands to make a round and flat tortilla. Ana liked the clapping sound her mom made!  \nAna watched her mom carefully place the tortillas ontop of a cast iron gridle. The heat from the fire cooked the tortillas in just a few minutes.  \nAna helped her mom place the tortillas in a pretty basket. They were still warm. She could not wait until her dad came home from farming the field to share the tortillas with him.  \nWhen Ana's dad came back from the field, Ana's family had a nice meal with delicious freshly-made tortillas.  \nAna told her dad that she had learned how to make tortillas that day. She was very happy. She promised to help her mom make tortillas from now on.  \nAna's mom and dad were very proud of her.
