It sets out the five key elements to providing a \ntruly international education. These are: \n an international curriculum \n our approach to teaching and learning \n assessment with Cambridge International \n international recognition and university acceptances around the world \n our global community of learners, teachers and schools. \nAt any one time, around 1 million learners in 10 000 schools, across over 160 countries are learning with a Cambridge curriculum. We are the largest exam board in the world and one of the oldest – we have been providing international examinations for over 150 years. We are also not-for-profit and wholly owned by the University of Cambridge, meaning that all our focus goes into providing the best possible education for our international learners, wherever they may be. \nAn international education from Cambridge represents an international standard and a truly global approach. It also equips students whose first language is not English to function competently and confidently \nin the English language – the principal language of international exchange and business. That is why Cambridge programmes are recognised all over the world as preparing students for their higher education, careers and future lives. \nResearch shows that the most important factor in improving learner outcomes is improving teacher practice. At Cambridge International, we are providing an ever-greater range of training events for our teaching community – over 1000 per year face to face and hundreds more online. \nWe are always delighted by the interest of our international community of schools in engaging deeply with us and with one another. We have striven to respond to that demand through more conferences, online communities and social media channels. We are also helping Cambridge schools to create their own local communities, run by schools for schools. \nThe world changes rapidly, bringing with it anever-shifting array of opportunities, as well as challenges. At Cambridge International, we are fully committed to giving all our learners the skills and knowledge to navigate the 21st century world with passion and curiosity. \nChristine Özden, Chief Executive \nCambridge Assessment International Education \nContents \nIntroduction .....................................................1 \n1. Cambridge programmes inspire students to love learning, helping them discover new abilities and a wider world. And we help students develop the skills they need for life, and to achieve at school, university and work. \nOur work is informed by research and underpinned by over 150 years of practical experience working with schools and governments worldwide. We are the only exam board that is wholly owned by a world-leading university, the University of Cambridge. \nOur global community of nearly a million students in over 10 000 Cambridge schools in 160 countries b","cbCaibToZHSMGKHU","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaibToZHSMGKHU","pdf",3996963,16,"English","# Introduction\n## International curriculum\n## Teaching and learning\n## Assessment\n## International recognition\n## Global community","[{\"question\":\"What are the five key elements of the Cambridge approach to international education?\",\"answer\":\"They are: an international curriculum, the approach to teaching and learning, assessment with Cambridge International, international recognition and university acceptances, and a global community of learners, teachers and schools.\"},{\"question\":\"Why is teacher practice considered important for improving learner outcomes?\",\"answer\":\"The guide states that improving teacher practice is the most important factor in improving learner outcomes, supported by training events for the teaching community.\"},{\"question\":\"How does Cambridge education support students whose first language is not English?\",\"answer\":\"It equips students to function competently and confidently in English, described as the principal language of international exchange and business.\"}]","An international education from Cambridge - a short guide | PDF",1792723709]
