experienced in Belgium and France. \nWhen I hear about the bravery and sacrifice which Englishmen made,it makesme feel a type of pride which is unexplainable. When I remember what thesemen did,I cannot begin to show how thankful I am to them.It also reinforcesmy belief that what they protected still needs protecting;what is going on in theworld today shows that people are always trying to destroy what we have.Thesemen who fought here, some went home, some did not,but what they did cannotbe forgotten. \nMy thoughts then turn to the people who were left behind:the mothers and fatherswho lost their sons;the brothers and sisters who no longer have their brothers;the wives and sweethearts who lost their men and the kids who had no dad.Thepain of losing these men for the ones left behind is a type of pain that I pray thatI'll never go through and I pray that I never have to put anyone through. \nI then start to think about my family.I never understood why my Mum,Dad,Nanna and Granny were so against me joining the Army, but now I can sort ofunderstand why we have had such arguments, but it has not altered my dream ofjoining up;it just grows in strength. However,it has made me realise that war isnot a fun adventure like a film show. The bad guy does not lose because no-onewins. \nThe most moving event of this trip for me was the Menin Gate ceremony, asthe Last Post always makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.Also, thepoem‘Young Fellow My Lad’made me think about the Dads who lost their sons.It made me think about what it would do to my Dad and it brought a tear to myeye for the poor Dads left behind. \nWhile I was walking around one of the cemeteries I ","cbCaiuZFr4gN5cT4","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiuZFr4gN5cT4","pdf",2811004,76,"English","# Roll of Honour\n#
