Mitch’s bedroom is stuffed full of his most treasured dollies.  \nMitch has six bedrooms – one for him and his doll collection, with the other five reserved for his most prized possessions of all; his special Dolly Birds. Her short, chubby arms extended upwards, the tiny, dimpled hands balled into loose fists.  \nHer little legs, with sweet dimples and fat rolls, also stuck upwards at a ninety-degree angle, the knees slightly bent, the tiny little feet plump, smooth and pink. The onesie was too hot, plastering uncomfortably to her sweat-soaked skin.  \n“Ow ee, ow ee,” she wailed, unable to pronounce help me .  \nShe didn’t cry – she rarely did anymore. There were only so many tears that a girl could shed. She suspected that she had spilled ten lifetimes’worth in the past five months. Not that Linda knew how long she had been trapped here in this insane hell house – time had ceased to hold any real meaning to her. It had to be months; she guessed that much. Maybe even years. ..  \nNo. It couldn’t be years. Up to a year, perhaps. There was no way for her to mark the passage of time, yet alone the cycle of days, or changing seasons as her bedroom window was shuttered from the inside.  \nShe squirmed in the large cot, trying to get comfortable. Comfortable. That was a laugh. It was a state she no longer had any concept of. There was only enough room for her in this cot because she was no longer in possession of her arms and legs. Plastic appendages in the proportions of a baby’s limbs were fastened to her one-inch stumps with various leather straps, crisscrossing over her torso. The limbs were held in place by the tight onesie. Sometimes, they slipped and worse, other times they got stuck between the bars of her cot. Today, they remained propped upright at the perfect ninety-degree angle.  \nShe no longer had any breasts to get in the way of the leather straps, as they had been surgically removed along with her limbs and the tip of her tongue. Daddy took care of her pain – and he made her call him Daddy, the  \nbest her missing tongue-tip would allow. She very rarely suffered; not in the physical sense anyway.
