What begins as a bright, intimate morning in her kitchen quickly turns into anxiety when her phone interrupts—again and again—forcing difficult choices. The story frames travel less as escape than as restriction, revealing how strangers try to become something else while living under real constraints.","AFTER HAPPY EVER AFTER \nWEIRD TRAVEL SERIES \nBOOK 4 \nADAM FLETCHER \nWANDERLUST WORDS \nOCEANOFPDF. Welcome. \nTo be here, you’ve probably read another of the books in this series and that’s great. This one is going to be a bit different… \nThis is not primarily a travel memoir. Travel is about escape and if anything, this book is about restriction: biological, political, geographical, or self-imposed because of how we see ourselves and view the world. \nAccordingly, it’s a little heavy in places, because life is heavy in places. It’slight in others, because life is well…you get the idea. \nIt’s based on a true story. I’ve changed all names and several other identifying details for reasons that will become obvious. \nThis is a story about strangers trying to becoming something else. A story \nabout what follows Happy Ever After. \nLet’s begin… \nTo Stef, whose timely advice saved this book. \n[OceanofPDF.com](OceanofPDF.com) \nCONTENTS \nChapter 1 \nChapter 2 \nChapter 3 \nChapter 4 \nChapter 5 \nChapter 6 \nChapter 7 \nChapter 8 \nChapter 9 \nChapter 10 \nChapter 11 \nChapter 12 \nChapter 13 \nChapter 14 \nChapter 15 \nChapter 16 \nChapter 17 \nChapter 18 \nChapter 19 \nChapter 20 \nChapter 21 \nChapter 22 \nChapter 23 \nChapter 24 \nChapter 25 \nChapter 26 \nChapter 27 \nChapter 28 \nChapter 29 \nAlso by Adam Fletcher \n[OceanofPDF.com](OceanofPDF.com) \n1 \nIf some days are diamonds and others are rocks, yesterday dazzled, and today, not even an hour old, already had a hell of a shine to it. \nI tipped my head back and closed my eyes, basking in the latemorning sun at my new love-interest’s, Evelyn’s, kitchen window. \nIt was another glorious day we’d pass in hot pursuit of each other. Twenty-four more hours of me, her, we, us, yes, and let’s. \nOutside the window, pretty little birds sang pretty little songs. I didn’t know the words, but the sentiment was clear: fuck me, they were singing. \nHow late had we stayed up doing just that, pausing only to gush the stories of our lives at each other? \nI didn’t know. \nI didn’t care. \nI didn’t need sleep anymore; I was powered by her now. Or by her desire for me. \nI turned from the window towards the stove. She was singing as she stirred what would become an African stew. \n“NOOOOOOOOOO SCRUUUUUBS,” she sang, banging the ladle against the side of the pot, then speeding up.“Don’t want no scrubs!” \nWas I a scrub? I wondered. \nI didn’t have a job, in any normal sense. I was a writer, mostly, sometimes. Not one that owned a car. In fact, I couldn’t even hangout the passenger side of my best friends’ rides, since none of them had cars either; Berlin was a city of bikes. \n“I love that you love to cook,” I said to distract myself from myself. \nShe turned and grinned.“I love that you love to eat.” \nI kept watching. I watched her often: as she brushed that vast cloud of golden-yellow hair; or standing in front of her full-length mirror, pirouetting while nibbling the edges of her lip, comparing outfits against her mood; or furiously tapping at her keyboard, trying to right political wrongs. I loved the regalness with which she moved, and that permanent, slight surprise on her top lip as if she’d just been transported here from a 1950’s movie set in which she was the bunny-dipping starlet. \nI walked over and wrapped my arms around her waist. She tilted her head back and kissed me on the neck. \n“How’d it go at the doctor’s yesterday?” I asked. \n“Yeah, fine.” \nA familiar sound pierced the kitchen’s calm; an ugly sound—metallic, throbbing, and urgent. \nIt was my nemesis, her iPhone. \n“It’s probably not work,” s","cbCaimnHr2iw8gyW","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaimnHr2iw8gyW","pdf",2048996,3,206,"English","en",105,"# Chapter 1\n# Chapter 2\n# Chapter 3\n# Chapter 4\n# Chapter 5\n# Chapter 6\n# Chapter 7\n# Chapter 8\n# Chapter 9\n# Chapter 10\n# Chapter 11\n# Chapter 12\n# Chapter 13\n# Chapter 14\n# Chapter 15\n# Chapter 16\n# Chapter 17\n# Chapter 18\n# Chapter 19\n# Chapter 20\n# Chapter 21\n# Chapter 22\n# Chapter 23\n# Chapter 24\n# Chapter 25\n# Chapter 26\n# Chapter 27\n# Chapter 28\n# Chapter 29","[{\"question\":\"After Happy Ever After的核心主题是什么？ \"}]","After Happy Ever After - Book 4 - Adam Fletcher - Wanderlust Words | PDF",1785656570,317,{"code":4,"msg":31,"data":32},"ok",{"site_id":24,"language":23,"slug":33,"title":13,"keywords":34,"description":14,"schema_data":35,"social_meta":86,"head_meta":88,"extra_data":90,"updated_unix":28},"after-happy-ever-after-book-4-adam-fletcher-wanderlust-words","",{"@graph":36,"@context":85},[37,53,68],{"@type":38,"itemListElement":39},"BreadcrumbList",[40,44,48,50],{"item":41,"name":42,"@type":43,"position":11},"https://docshare.wps.com","Home","ListItem",{"item":45,"name":46,"@type":43,"position":47},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/","Document",2,{"item":49,"name":12,"@type":43,"position":20},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/story-novel/",{"item":51,"name":13,"@type":43,"position":52},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/after-happy-ever-after-book-4-adam-fletcher-wanderlust-words/116160/",4,{"url":51,"name":13,"@type":54,"author":55,"headline":13,"publisher":57,"fileFormat":60,"inLanguage":23,"description":14,"dateModified":61,"datePublished":62,"encodingFormat":60,"isAccessibleForFree":63,"interactionStatistic":64},"DigitalDocument",{"name":9,"@type":56},"Person",{"url":41,"name":58,"@type":59},"DocShare","Organization","application/pdf","2026-08-16","2026-08-02",true,{"@type":65,"interactionType":66,"userInteractionCount":20},"InteractionCounter",{"@type":67},"ViewAction",{"@type":69,"mainEntity":70},"FAQPage",[71,77,81],{"name":72,"@type":73,"acceptedAnswer":74},"After Happy Ever After的核心主题是什么？" ,"https://schema.org",{"og:url":51,"og:type":87,"og:title":13,"og:site_name":58,"og:description":14},"article",{"robots":89,"canonical":51},"index,follow",{"doc_id":7,"site_id":24},{"code":4,"msg":5,"data":92},[93,96,100,104,109,114,119,124,129,132,136],{"id":11,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":46,"category_name":12,"show_sort_weight":94,"slug":95},90,"story-novel",{"id":47,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":46,"category_name":97,"show_sort_weight":98,"slug":99},"Literature",80,"literature",{"id":52,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":46,"category_name":101,"show_sort_weight":102,"slug":103},"Exam",70,"exam",{"id":105,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":46,"category_name":106,"show_sort_weight":107,"slug":108},5,"Comic",60,"comic",{"id":110,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":46,"category_name":111,"show_sort_weight":112,"slug":113},6,"Technology",50,"technology",{"id":115,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":46,"category_name":116,"show_sort_weight":117,"slug":118},7,"Healthcare",40,"healthcare",{"id":120,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":46,"category_name":121,"show_sort_weight":122,"slug":123},8,"Research & Report",30,"research-report",{"id":125,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":46,"category_name":126,"show_sort_weight":127,"slug":128},9,"Religion & Spirituality",20,"religion-spirituality",{"id":127,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":46,"category_name":130,"show_sort_weight":127,"slug":131},"World Cup","world-cup",{"id":133,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":46,"category_name":134,"show_sort_weight":133,"slug":135},10,"Lifestyle","lifestyle",{"id":137,"doc_module":4,"doc_module_name":46,"category_name":138,"show_sort_weight":105,"slug":139},19,"General","general"]
