As your safety and that of other road users is my priority, I must draw your attention to the following warning on section 4(B) of the blue driving licence application form “You will normally be refused permission to obtain a second provisional licence if you fail to attempt your driving test for that category within six months without good cause” \nUnder Article 11 of Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956, the grant of a Provisional Licence to an applicant may be refused by the Connétable if it appears to them that the applicant does not intend to submit to the said tests within a reasonable time. \nFollowing the grant of a Provisional Licence: \n• Mopeds & Motorcyles: The first step is that you must take and pass a Compulsory Basic Training test (CBT) before you are allowed to Drive Your Motorcycle on the road. You must within six months attempt the relevant DVS Theory Test and/or Practical Test. You must not carry passengers on your motorcycle whilst you only have a provisional license \n• Cars & Other Motor Vehicles: You must within six months attempt the relevant DVS Theory Test and/or Practical Test. You must not drive unsupervised. The supervising driver must be at least 21 years old and have held a full licence for a minimum of 3 years. \nIf you attempt but fail any of the tests, please keep your DVS slip. You will need to produce this if apply for a second Provisional Licence. If you cannot prove that you have attempted any of the tests within six months, or cannot provide evidence of good cause for delay, as Connétable I will suspend your application for six months before you can reapply. \nIf you have any questions on Provisional or Full Driving Licences, please do not hesitate to contact the Parish Office in the first instance Advice on CBT, Theory and Practical Tests can be found on the DVS website [page](page www.gov.je)[ ](page www.gov.je)[www.gov.je](page www.gov.je) (select Travel & Transport), or telephone Driver & Vehicle Standards on 448600. \nPlease remember that any person who fails to comply with the conditions of a Provisional Licence will be guilty of an offence. \nAndrew N Jehan FCILT, FIoD, FCMI \nConnétable de St Jean \nI have read and understood the above information \nPRINT FULL NAME \n(Signature & Date)","cbCaioQNwYULcjQz","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaioQNwYULcjQz","pdf",158507,"English","# Advice for Provisional Drivers\n## Purpose of a Provisional Driving Licence\n## Key Warning on the Application Form\n## Conditions After Grant\n## Mopeds & Motorcycles\n## Cars & Other Motor Vehicles\n## If You Attempt but Fail Tests\n## Contact Information and Offence Reminder","[{\"question\":\"What is the purpose of granting a provisional driving licence?\",\"answer\":\"It allows the applicant to drive with a view to passing a test.\"},{\"question\":\"What happens if you do not attempt the required driving tests within six months?\",\"answer\":\"Permission to obtain a second provisional licence may be refused, and your application can be suspended for six months before you can reapply, unless you can show good cause for delay.\"},{\"question\":\"What restrictions apply to provisional licence holders for motorcycles and cars?\",\"answer\":\"For motorcycles, you must complete CBT first, attempt the relevant DVS tests within six months, and you must not carry passengers while holding only a provisional licence.
