However, depending on individual circumstances, admissions staff may ask applicants to produce a piece of written work, or sit an internal test, or undertake an internal assessment, in order to determine the standard that they have achieved.  \nIn additional, the following Schools/Departments require tests for some or all of their applicants:  \nChemistry  \nApplicants who are offering the BTEC Extended Diploma/National Extended Diploma or an Access to HE Diploma will be required to complete an assessment. Successful completion of the assessment will be included as a condition of an offer. The assessment normally takes place in June each year and the department will contact applicants directly with details.  \nDentistry  \nStudents applying for the A200 BDS Dentistry programme will be expected to have taken the UKCAT test.  \nElectrical Engineering and Electronics  \nApplicants who are offering the BTEC Extended Diploma/National Extended Diploma or an Access to HE Diploma will be required to successfully complete an online Mathematics test prior to an offer being made.
