The IBAS methodology was developed by ACTAC to provide a fair and equitable basis for comparing IB students’ results with those of students studying state curricula like the HSC and VCE. \nThe IBAS is converted to an ATAR-like rank using the nationally agreed conversion schedule, which is available from TAC websites. This rank allows IB students to apply for courses in the same way as students who have studied state curricula and use the admissions transparency data published through tertiary admissions centres to apply for courses with confidence. \n[actac.edu.au](actac.edu.au) \nThe IB has worked with Australian tertiary admissions centres via ACTAC to provide an earlier release of results than in previous years, making students eligible for December course offers via QTAC, UAC, VTAC and UTAS. December offers will be released progressively from Monday 23 December, followed by January offers across the country from all other TACs. \nQuote attributable to Teresa Tjia, National Convenor, ACTAC and CEO, VTAC: \n“Australia’s tertiary admissions centres work together to make sure that all students can easily apply to study anywhere in Australia, with the ATAR and IBAS providing a passport to study across the country and beyond.” \nMedia enquiries: Michael Ciesielski (0422 926 [066 |](066 | michael@vtac.edu.au)[ ](066 | michael@vtac.edu.au)[michael@vtac.edu.au](066 | michael@vtac.edu.au)) \n[actac.edu.au](actac.edu.au)","cbCaivL4SqXUZ8ke","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaivL4SqXUZ8ke","pdf",158680,"English","# IB Admissions Scores release\n## National release and student eligibility\n## State-by-state distribution of IBAS awarded\n## IBAS methodology and conversion to rank\n## December and January offer timelines\n## Quote and media enquiries","[{\"question\":\"How many IB students received their IB Admissions Scores, and how does this compare with last year?\",\"answer\":\"2,583 IB students received their IB Admissions Scores.
