Please, pay attention and keep this for further reference.  \nASSESSMENT  \n\n| Bachelor (Graduação) grading system at USP ranges from 0,0 (zero) to 10,0 (ten), where zero is the lowest grade and ten is the highest one. To pass a course, a student must fulfill two conditions: minimum score of 5,0 (five) and minimum attendance of 70% . The score represents an average of all work developed by the student.\u003Cbr>Each Professor has his/her own criteria for exams and work to be developed by the student. That information is detailed by professors in the first class of each course. If the final score is between 3,0 and 4,99, student will be given a chance: this is called Reavaliação (Reassessment) . Reassessment exams usually take place in the weeks after the end the final exams. If your final score is below 2,99, then you failed the course in any situation.\u003Cbr>Postgraduate (Pós-Graduação) grading system is based on four grades: A, B, C and R, where A, B and C are passing grades, and R is a failing grade. Minimum attendance required is of 75% . Assessment is based on a final academic article. Registration in Post-Graduate courses is allowed only for foreign students attending the M2 in their home institutions. Students in M1 cannot attend Post-Graduate courses.\u003Cbr>ATTENDANCE |\n| --- |\n| Attendance at USP is mandatory\u003Cbr>You must attend at least 70% of the classes for each Bachelor course, and 75% for each Postgraduate course; otherwise, you will fail in that course. Do not miss over 30% of Bachelor classes at each course, and do not miss over 25% of the classes at each Postgraduate course.\u003Cbr>Professors are very strict regarding attendance and a full compliance to University and Ministry of Education rules is mandatory. Professors use different methods for attendance checking: calling the name of each student to check where he/she is there, or the professor might know you and notice if you are there or not. And it might be done in different times during the class, so be sure not to arrive late and not to leave class before it is over. Excuses such as traffic, headache, flu, broken alarm clocks, late arrivals, among others, are not accepted for missing a class, and they will count as absence.\u003Cbr>Control your absences to not risk failing a course as a result of lower than required attendance. Students will not get credits for courses they failed, whatever the reason may be.\u003Cbr>AVAILABILITY OF FINAL EVALUATION RESULTS |\n\nFEA will not provide special exams or special works to be done in substitution of the official exams in the due dates. The student should not miss the dates of final exams for each course and for the reassessment period which is always informed by the USP system.  \nBachelor courses: usually within 15 to 20 days after the last day of classes or exams.  \nPost-Graduate courses: Professors have up to two months to report the results to the office of Post-Graduate studies.  \nAlways take note of your Professors’ names, since that will be the key to solve any problem that might arise.  \nThe cooperation agreement we have with your home institution states that you must be treated as a regular student. Eventhough, we set up different deadlines for enrollment to allow you a better schedule adjustment. Those deadlines also comply with system requirements, which are inflexible. You should not expect special judgment from professors towards your tests and absences. However, you can talk to your Professors if you need special references for your studies (otherlanguages, for example), or if you are having trouble understanding some part of the class / material.
