Aasimar race features. \nAasimar are mortals blessed with a spark from the Upper Planes, allowing them to tap into heavenly power. They can harness this energy to heal wounds, bring light, and unleash divine fury. Aasimar can be found in any population of humans and live up to 160 years, often exhibiting features that hint at their celestial roots. These characteristics start subtle but become more evident as they gain the ability to reveal their full celestial nature. Your proficiency bonus equals your proficiency level. Protector Soul. Two shining, ghostly wings emerge from your back temporarily. While this transformation is active, you have the ability to fly as fast as you walk, and once on each of your turns, you can give an additional radiant hit to one target when you attack it with a spell or physical attack. The extra damage equals your proficiency bonus. Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language that you and your DM agree is suitable for the character. The Player's Handbook provides a list of languages from which to choose. Your DM is free to modify this list according to your campaign. Aasimar are born with the light of heaven within them. They descend from humans who have been touched by the divine power of Mount Celestia, a place revered by many lawful good deities. Aasimar are created to serve as champions of the gods and their births are celebrated as blessed events. They possess otherworldly features that reveal their connection to heaven, such as luminous facial traits. Except for those who have turned evil, aasimar have a special link with an angelic being, typically a deva, which provides them guidance through visions and prophecies in their dreams. Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 2 . Age. Aasimar mature as quickly as humans but can live up to 160 years. Alignment. The vast majority of aasimar are good because they carry celestial power within them. However, outcast aasimar may be neutral or even evil in nature. Size. Like humans, aasimar have the same range of height and weight. Your size is Medium. Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet. Vision in Darkness. Due to your radiant soul, you can see through darkness easily. In dim light within 60 feet of you, it's as if the light were bright, and in complete darkness, it's like the light were dim. However, you cannot distinguish colors in darkness; instead, everything appears in shades of gray. Resistance to Death and Light Damage. You have resistance to necrotic damage and radiant damage. Healing Hands. As an action, you can touch a creature and restore a number of hit points equal to your level. Once used, this trait must rest for a long time before being used again. Bearer of the Light. You know the Light cantrip, with Charisma as your spellcasting ability. Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Celestial. Subrace. Three subraces of aasimar exist: protector aasimar, scourge aasimar, and fallen aasimar. Choose one of them for your character. Protector Aasimar are tasked with protecting the weak, fighting against evil wherever it arises, and standing guard against darkness. Since childhood, they receive advice that urges them to stand against evil. Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom score increases by 1 . Radiant Soul. At level 3, you can use your action to unleash the divine energy within yourself. This causes a glow in your eyes, and two shining, ghostly wings appear on your back. This transformation lasts for 1 minute or until you end it with a bonus action. During this time, your speed while flying is 30 feet, and once on each of your turns, you can give an additional radiant hit to one target when you attack it with a spell or physical attack.
