Initially, Maaloo struggles to find potatoes, believing they are not ready. However, with his dog Kaaloo's help, who enthusiastically digs in the soil, Maaloo discovers that the potatoes are indeed there. The story playfully highlights the process of harvesting and the unexpected ways discoveries can be made, emphasizing observation and interaction with nature.
