So the monkeys settled there.  \nSome young monkeys were jumping and playing around. One of them was 'Manki' . He was named by Pappu.  \nPappu was the son of the master of that house and studied in a nearby primary school. Whenever he bumped into this monkey, Pappu would call him'Manki'.  \nThe elders of Pappu's home were enemies of the monkeys. Whenever they saw monkeys up on the roof, or in the vicinity of the house, they would throw stones or threaten them with a stick to make the monkeys flee.  \nBut the elders were not the only ones at fault here. The monkeys were used to taking away any object kept out in the open, like utensils, clothes, etc. Then the people had to chase the monkeys to get their things back!  \nTo get back their things, people used pieces of roti (bread), gram seeds, or any kind of food. People threw these things at the monkeys so that they could drop their things and leap at the food instead. Then everyone would take back their things.  \nThis happened often.  \nThese monkeys could find food anywhere-nearby parks, gardens, farms, etc. but this particular hide and seek game with the people added to their fun! They enjoyed scaring, teasing and even playing with the kids.  \nEven though the kids were supposed to stay away from the monkeys, some of them would chase the monkeys and throw stones at them for no reason. In spite of all this, those days were fun.  \nTelevisions had not reached that village yet.  \nOne day, word spread that there's a new TV in the village. The next day, the village head received a TV at home. A TV antenna was installed on the roof of his house. For the monkeys, this object was new and exciting. As soon as the roof emptied, Manki and other young and old monkeys from his troop reached there. Everyone was curious and excited to see the antenna.
